Best beer in a long time, with an amazing fruity aroma and bitter taste. It just makes you craving for more, in a very different way of which similiar beers does. scootpolute (10) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - AUG 6, 2013
On tap @ Hopdoddy, SO-CO...Delicious! Lighter than some of the other local IPAs offered...The intent was not to over-load prior to the burger!! Back to beer:
P: Served on tap in a chilled-goblet...
A: Golden-orange, filtered, leaving a nice lacing 1.5" head...GREAT!
T: Bright, clean nice hops up front...good tasty citrus (grapefruit), along with some other nice lingering pine notes....
P: Medium carbonation, medium bodied, great for the style :~)
O: One of the best austin (or if you prefer TX beers)... I’ve had since moving to TX in April ’13....competes with the best of the NW IPA for sure...go ahead try one, it won’t disappoint...Bucket head ipa (thirsty planet brewing...which to be honest is getting a ’BAD-RAP’ at a rating of 89/74...they should at least be in the low ’90s...)...Also, lost coast ipa (Real Ales/in Blanco TX) does a VERY FINE ipa!!....Chasin’ cheers :~) rgf001 (324) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 8, 2014

I wrote this from München, while drinking a great Andechs Dopplebock Dunkel, and all I can say is I miss this beer. I am IPA biased so take this in consideration. This beer has the right combination of citrusy hoppiness and aroma. Most drinkable beer I have tasted (again for my taste). There are one-bottle (one-glass) beers that may rate higher in taste, but can you drink three glasses...
Never seen it in bottle so there is your excuse to go to Austin. locapour (6) - Austin, USA - AUG 3, 2013 does not count
I featured this beer on an episode of Locapour: http://locapour.tv/austin/512ipa
It’s a great beer. One of the must haves in Austin. You can find it around town at just about any place that believes customers deserve to drink great craft beer. hopeye101 (45) - Draughthouse, Texas, USA - MAR 27, 2009
Had on cask at a 512 brewery gathering.
Deep brownish amber color,Nice citrusy nose, Substantial creamy head.
Good bitterness, malty.
Everything I want in an IPA.
Delicious on Cask.

When I first tried this brew I was expecting hops, this was because in austin there are a lot of hop heads. This one to me is more of an east coast or british style ipa. The hops seem to be different than your normal west coast 4 c hops. Overall a nice representation of what Ipa can be.

Golden copper pour. Thick cream head. Piney hop aroma. Full body piney hop flavor. Hints of vanilla as well. Very good beer.

Clear gold pour with a solid white head. Aroma of apples with hints of pine and floral. Very good bitter, slightly sour, dry. Nice lingering finish. Braudog (6763) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - SEP 3, 2013
Draft somewhere in my blurry visit to Austin. Definitely my favorite find in town. Solid, very citric IPA. Orange and amber, solid all the way around, definitely what Americans look for in an IPA. Well done. (#5239, 9/1/2013)
