GABF 2011, listed as "One". Clear dank amber with a nice rocky head. Aroma of brandy oak, toffee, and dark ripe fruits. Flavor has some belgian dark ripe fruits, boozy oak finishing up. Not too keen on the amount of boozy esters, but the flavor is spot on with a huge body full of malty delights, some toffee and dark fruits and a shade of balancing bitterness. A: The beer pours an amber color with a finger of white head.
S: The aroma starts off with lots of spice, especially coriander. There is some fruit in the form of banana and pears, perhaps a hint of apple. Light phenols of pepper along with bready malts and toffee sweetness.
T: Flavor of sweet malt, particularly toffee and bread. There is a lot of banana flavor, too, which gives a bit of a banana bread character. A noticeable peppery spice, and some other fruits, mostly pears.
M: The body is medium and the carbonation is also medium.
O: I’ve been interested in trying this one and thought it was actually pretty decent. SphinxTX (2878) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - AUG 2, 2011
On tap...pours a cloudy deep amber with beige head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, malty.....touch of farmhouse. Flavor is much the same with a bit sweetness and a strong banana presence. Mouthfeel is medium body with fizzy carbonation...soft. Overall, solid brew!

On tap at petrol station. Pours a hazy amber with a white head that lasts and laces slightly. Aroma has a sweet bread note with some light fruits and a good amount of flora. Flavor is surprisingly light with a nice combination of light fruit and flora backed with some sweet grains. Dixonian (1657) - Plano, Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2011

Sampled @ GABF! 14 karat pour produced a nice ivory head that left lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, Belgian yeast, and candied fruit. Similar flavor...just not very interesting or dynamic. Medium mouthfeel. A little too sweet for me. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 17, 2010

A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, most peaches and apricot. Bright yeasts. A little alcohol hot, but not too bad. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet, with a hint of alcohol.
