Cask at Bottle Shop.
Deep brown pour with very little head. Smells great - roasted malt, cocoa, smooth cherry. Flavors melded together nicely - vanilla, roast, chocolate, dark fruit.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask @ Hay Merchant. Not the best appetizer before a burger but that’s my own damn fault. Pecans and cocoa with just the right amount of cherry tartness to offset the sweetness. Might need another for dessert.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2013 Draught > Gingerman(a few months back). I waited to review this b/c I didn’t know what Cerise was. I’ve since learned it’s a type of cherry. Whatever the case, this was f’ing delicious. TONS of chocolate flavor and a tad bit of tart cherries too. I’d love to try it again or the other one w/ blueberries.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Quite an interesting take on the pecan porter .. . light chocolate pecans and berry mostly .. thin mouth feel, typical cask .. . pretty nice twist but the original is still better .. . . haunted french pancakes give me the crepes.

Cask at Hay Merchant. Pours a dark brown with large creamy beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roast and cherry. Medium mouthfeel with a light roast flavor and cocoa with light dry finish. A decent one off of the pecan porter.
