Cask at the Common Table’s 2nd anniversary party.
The beer pours a black color with a large brown head. The aroma has a good amount of peppers in it, with some cocoa and roasted malt notes also coming through. The flavor is more bold, with a lot of big chocolate and vanilla notes, as well as a good dose of heavily roasted malt. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice interpretation of a very good beer. Dixonian (1562) - Plano, Texas, USA - JUN 13, 2012
On tap @ The Common Table.
Near black body with some tan head. The cacao really came out in the aroma with roasted malt, vanilla, and pecans. Big time chocolate flavor with lots of roast. mar (5410) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 9, 2012
Black pour with a cream head. Nose is heavy vanilla, coffee, roasted malts, delicious. Smooth palate, great vanilla, backed with roasted malts, and more vanilla.

(draught) near black, clear dark tan bubbles. Nose of cocoa nibs, pecan, vanilla, rich, creamy and nice. Taste is very cocoa forward and masks the rest of the beer. Some milk chocolate, sweet cream, very rich and dry. Like it!
