That’s right, the first seasonal offering (of many to come ) from (512) Brewing Company was brewed this week. It’s a Robust Porter brewed with Pecans. Look for this beer to be released sometime in late October - We can’t release it until there’s at least a hint of cool weather in the air! This nearly black Porter is made with US 2-row and Crystal malts along with Baird’s Chocolate and Black malts. Mild smooth hop bitterness is contrasted with sharp black malt bitterness. It has a full body and malty sweetness balanced with subtle pecan aroma and flavor from locally grown pecans. Yet another true Austin original!

At JTC 10k tasting. Dark brown beer with nose of cholate and cola. Taste of cola, brown sugar, caramel, hints of pecan, earth, grainy maltiness. Nothing is overly pronounced flavor wise. Smooth

Had many times, surprised it hasnt been rated. On tap at gourmands austin. Dark pour caramel head. Typical stout/porter coffee nose, caramel and toffee. Why is this one so coffee heavy? Not much pecan. Not what I expected. Still good.
