COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

If an amber ale is a less hoppy/more malty American Ale, do i really want to have the latter? ;) this is incredibly hoppy (71 IBU), which for this supertaster blots out everything, alas, for better or for worse (11.2 oz bottle, OSL duty-free)

330ml bottle; BB 2nd Jan 19. Drank in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 2nd Nov 17. Red hue to the dark brown body, off-white crown. The nose held malty notes alongside some hedgerow berries. Taste was semi-sweet with a caramel touch, again berries, but mostly a malty brew, late citrusy bitterness. Liked it.

33 cl bottle @ home, brought by my wife during stoppover in Oslo. Dark brown color (no red in sight). Frothy beige head. Aroma’s: dark malts, caramel, with resinous and somewhat citrussy hops. Flavor is above moderate bitter, roasted malts, light sweet. Medium bodied. Long finish, roasty, moderate bitter. Nice.

One of the best I have tried in Norway, tastes like 6.8 % but I wish it wasn’t and I could enjoy a lot more of it.
