COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden lager with a sweetish, herbal twist: The aroma of whole hemp leaves and the spicy bitterness resemble fresh-cut conifers and wild flowers. The hemp beer has a full, slightly sweetish body and an aftertaste that gives a long lingering unique impression of hemp. (Do not expect any other effects from this beer than a pleasant taste and a moderate alcohol content of less than five percent ABV).

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2014 .5L mug at Siebensternbräu in Vienna. Luckily, I tried this ’gimmicky’ beer. The brewery’s description --"golden lager with a sweetish, herbal twist; The aroma of whole hemp leaves" -- is on target. This slightly hazy, golden lager has a bone head that leaves exceptional lacing. The aroma features malt + herbal + meaty smoke; the latter being unexpected and virtually undetectable upon tasting. Medium/full body with excellent carbonation. Creamy smooth yet a bit lively too. Hemp flavor? ... yes, I think ... an unusual herbal flavor in any case. spice and hops and baked bread in the fine aftertaste. Excellent sweet/bitter balance. O: a unique lager with a substantial malt and herbal base. Enjoyed from start to finish. If in Vienna, worth the trip.

From tap at 7 Stern Bräu. Aroma of grainy malt, hint of floral, hint of spicyness. Flavour is light to moderate bitter. Quite similar to their Helles and it does not deliver on the promise of hemp.

Pale golden body with pearl head. Sweet aroma, butterish honey caramel, malts and sourish leaves. Taste has honey, butter, caramel and citric grass - leading to a fruity finish. Fruity and normal on palate. Past BB with 3 months, but still nice. [50cl.btl 4.7%abv @Finn’sCastle provided.by.Finn]

Medium hemp aroma. Pale ornage color. Medium hemp taste, a little bit watery, crispy. Dry, light bitter aftertaste. A like the hemp aroma, but this one’s more for a hot summer day.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel, some vegetable spiciness (hemp?). Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light spiciness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel and some spiciness. Way too sweet/too much caramel for me.

[On draught at the brewpub] Hazy pale yellow colour. Citrusy, perfumy nose with notes of elder. Rich flowery and fruity in flavour with elder present. Stalk-ish mouthfeel. Notable bitterness and very dry. Flavourful beer.

Draught at the brewpub, smallish head, a touch hazy yellow colour, light malty aroma with with hints of fruit and herbs, citrusy flavour with some herbs, light bitterness. Not much differentfrom your average lager, nothing special.

Dark yellow colored, slightly cloudy appearance. Again this handmade yeasty aroma with some flowery and lemony tone. Aroma does not differ very much from Helles I had earlier. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is soft with yeasty-flowers again, maybe hints of some herbs here, but not very obviously. Aftertaste dries mildly.

On Tap @ the Brewpub/ The head is not really good. It taste like a normal Lager just brewed with Hanf. It´s okay! 8/9/10/10/-/10
