Tap at brewhouse. Pours dark reddish colored with a full creamy tan head. Quite smokey in the nose with a strong bacon BBQ like note and hints spices. Sweet taste but not overly so, turns light bitter in the finish. Medium to thick body, low carbonation and very smooth mouthfeel. Well balanced and harmonic, not to sweet but pleasant. The smoked flavor is also not overwhelming but notice- and distinguishable. Very light sweetish aftertaste. Very good composition, quite complex, but not exhausting. Easy drinking with a pleasent smoked flavor. SinH4 (6257) - Garching b. Mnchen, GERMANY - NOV 22, 2015

Tapped at the brewpub on 21st December 2013. Aroma is hoppy and malty. A balanced malt and hops aroma and taste. The strong presence of alcohol is there, however covered by malt and some hops. Color is hazy brown, copper, but light golden and orange when flashlighted. Aroma of some fruit, too. Malt is dominant. Hops is there in the taste but accompanied by malty alcohol. Overall very tasty! Saeglopur (2326) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - NOV 27, 2013
Bottle from the automat at 7 Stern Bräu. Orange hazy and a bit sparkling body with medium white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, bread and yeast. Taste is sweet, caramel, slightly roasted, bread, dark fruits, banana, some spices and finishes alcohol warming, with a subtle bitterness. Medium body, with oily texture and slightly astringent. Not very complex or unique, but still quaffable and definitely one of the better dark Bock beers from Austria. fonefan (51064) - VestJylland, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2013
