On draft. Amber color. Smells a little of berries. A sweet tasting beer. A really nice beer. Cuso (8691) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 8, 2014
Bottle from brewery bottle vending machine. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Strong smoked malt, sausages, bacon in aroma. Taste, smoked bacon, sausages, malty backbone, caramel. Long smokey finish. Nice. fdomig (1025) - München, GERMANY - DEC 29, 2012
Aroma is bacon, and bacon. And bacon. Appearance is dark brown with a fine foam. Taste is sweet and light bitter. Has a medium long finish, not the best thought. However, I like this one. Scopey (14736) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2012
Bottle, thanks to Leighton. It pours dark brown, with ruby highlights and a thick off-white. The nose is smoke, meat and some caramel. The taste is smoke, meat, wood, caramel, brown sugar, hay and some alcohol warmth, with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and smooth mouth-feel. Nice. Tap at the brewpub, Vienna, then a bottle shared at The Kernel, London. Pours dark brown with a creamy, light tan cap. Lovely smoke aroma, with light notes of cured ham. Flavor is bang on. Beautiful smoke, honey-cured ham, brown sugar, mild leaves. Medium bodied with fine, average creamy carbonation. Medium to long sweet-smokey finish, more honey and brown sugar, also some toast. Very solid on all fronts. Great character, great balance.

(bottle) pours a hazy dark ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of honey cured smoked ham, lactic acid, strawberries, herbal hops and a hint of grapefruit. flavour is mostly the same, slightly fruity, with a nice dark maltiness to accentuate the mild smoke. medium-bodied with average carbonation. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 3, 2010
The pour reveals a cloudy brown color with a thin white head. The aroma is very appealing, when I smell the smoked malt, I’m reminded of smoked ham, there’s also a nice presence of caramel and fruits. The flavor is quite solid, again the smoked malt remind me of smoked ham, the caramel and fruits from the aroma are also there, those elements are well-balanced and work as a team. The palate is also pleasant, the body has a medium thickness while the texture is creamy and the carbonation moderate. I love rauchbocks and this one is outstanding. armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 14, 2009
Flip-top bottle. Dark amber body with a superb foamy beige head. Stronger aroma than the bamberger-7stern beer with the smoked character and with a fine roasted perfume. Smooth mouthfeel, roasted grains around the tongue, some smoked barbecue taste, fine caramel. It was a tasty beer again from this little brewery/brewpub... ogivlado (7839) - Zagreb, CROATIA - FEB 27, 2009

Dark amber coloured, medium sized pale tan head, strong smoked nose with touch of alcohol. Heavy smoked bacon taste with notes of ash and alcohol. Smooth, simple and good rauchbock.
0.5l bottle a couple of friends brought from Wien (thanks a lot Ivana and Tomislav!), shared with ogivlado. Poured a lovely murky red body on top of which perched a bigh thick off white head that went away at a medium pace. The nose is simple but nice, buttery and smokey with light notes of alcohol. The taste is dominated by the smoke, reminding me of Dalmatian smoked bacon (panceta), built on top of a nice, very pleasant sweet maltiness with a light alcohol presence trailing behind. Somewhat buttery too. Fine mouthfeel. Sweetish, not too complex, but damn tasty.
