Bottle at RBWG opening dinner. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Some honey, doughy malts, mild alcohol, white sugarss. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with further honey notes, light doughy yeast, hints of alcohol. Very nice.

Growler at RBWG. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is wheat, fruit, and funk. Sweet grain malt and citrus. Decent.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy orange copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet yeast aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex yeast sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met.

deyholla (12583) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle. Pours a near clear pale yellow with white head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has earthy grain with a hint of light fruit with a backing dry Chardonnay. Flavor starts with earthy sweet grains and light Belgian yeast with a nice note of dryness from the Chardonnay in the finish.

hopscotch (11433) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 21, 2012
Bottle... Clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The complex nose is a swirl of funk, fruit, white wine, apricot and lemon wood with an undercurrent of ancient cheese. Medium-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor presents vinous notes, mild woody bitterness, moderate funk and light acidity. Finishes vinous and dry. Complex as it may be, this brew didn’t really tickle my taint. Based on previous ratings, I expected much more.

alexsdad06 (11223) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - FEB 24, 2015
375 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have some malt sweetness, fruity, mild Chardonnay barrel character, slightly buttery, wood, a touch prickly at the finish. Decent.

daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Hazy yellow pour, white head. Yeast, oak, white wine, light stone fruit notes. Flavor is nice with the barrel notes, yeast, hints of banana.

GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 24, 2013
375mL at RBWG thanks to the brewers. Pours a clear, bright golden, white foam. Nose is a bit odd- phenolic, pickles, salty. Taste is sweeter, pickles, sugar, not funky, more sugar. Pretty much Abbey Tripel. Palate is a bit papery, sticky. Wasn’t my favorite.

DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 24, 2015
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Loose bits of lace. Very nice fruity kind apricoty nose, kind of a rich marzipan-like desert flavor, mild white wine. Notes of citrus. Really nice, complex aroma. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter, light bit of tart. Fantastic, ultra-complex very tasty belgian strong ale. Seeing the coconut and sunscreen that someone else mentioned. One of the best, more interesting American-belg strongs I’ve tried.
