As "Ale aged in Rum and Rye Barrels".
Bottle from Brian / Monmisreal (non on ratebeer), thanks! Sampled on January 27, 2013.
Hazy amber copper to brown color, off-white head. Sweet, fruity scent, also vanilla bourbon and oak. Alcohol, sweet, bitter, fruity taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
Smell of malt, licorice, caramel, bourbon, and alcohol. Taste is the same with the addition of a heavy aftertaste of rum. Thicker smooth BA stouty mouthfeel. burg326 (5607) - Florida, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Poured a murky brown color with aromas of light dark fruits, light apricots, rum, and some light caramel. Flavors matched the aromas, nice mixture of dark fruits, with some light apricot flavors, with a light rum finish. Not overly boozy, very tasty. Ibrew2or3 (8814) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Woodshed 3.0! Sample courtesy of gkost, thanks Gary!! Yes. The yellow waxed bottle pours with a deep copper body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up fruitiness that seems to be kind of apricot and apple and a bit citrus like and then it has smooth notes of rum and soft booze that rounds out the whiff. The taste delivers a mix of pine hop bitterness and then apricot like fruitiness. It quickly picks up a mild level of smooth rum sweetness and soft barrel notes. Very nice as this really comes together. _angst_ (5008) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 26, 2014
Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours hazy reddish brown with a rather thin bubbly goldenish offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, oatmeal cookies, raisins in rum, vanilla fudge, arak, hay and orange zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity with caramel, biscuits, grapefruit juice, moist grass, charred wood, pine needles, raisins in rum, plums in brandy, hay, moist soil, alcohol and burnt sugar. Mouthfeel is soft, round, astringent, boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter, malty and herbal with caramel, biscuits, toffee, grapefruit rinds, orange zest, hay, raisins in rum, vanilla hard candy, moist grass, pine needles and alcohol. Bit sharp yet quite tasty... tkrjukoff (4334) - SWEDEN - JUN 26, 2014
Bottle tnx to Greg. Pours a bit murky brown redish mahogany with a good tanned bubbly head. Aroma is sweet raisins malty marzipan nutty fruity and boozy. Flavor similar to aroma, well bitter which I like. A bit astringent barrel touch is a nice bonus.

Bottle shared by ibrew2or3 @ Woodshed 3.0! Honey-colored pour with blood orange at its core and a tightly packed khaki head. Candied-orange, sugar-dusted raisin, dried cranberry tang, alcohol, oak, vanilla, toasted bread, and berry. Just a tad above the non barrel-aged version. Yum! brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks, Jake. Amber/copper colored beer with a small khaki head. Aroma is butterscotch, paper, caramel, and alcohol. Not terribly pleasant. Quite sugary, too. Stale sugar and paper on the palate. Overly sweet and boozy. Astringent finish. Sweet caramel, brown sugar, and butterscotch. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 3, 2014

>> I was told the yellow wax version is Rum BA and green is the Rye BA. Low haze amber orange pour, weak yellow foam. Nose is sticky, butter, vanilla, tomato. Taste is bitter, spicy, tannic wood, dusty, spicy. Bitter, paper finish. Eh.
Bottle from danual74475279009421. Pours a amber brown cloudiness. Aroma of sugar, barrel, and yummy. Taste is smooth, boost, sugar, more boost. Homer321 (5191) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2014
Draft at hunahpu hangover 2014. Pours a murky brownish color with minimal light brown head. Nose is full of booze and vanilla. Flavors of toffee and burnt sugar. Very sticky mouthfeel, leaving my lips coated with sugar. One of the sweeter, but very enjoyable barrel aged barleywines I’ve had.
