UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 Draft... Pours black with a small, creamy, cappuccino-colored head. Excellent retention. This mostly smells like chocolate cake batter, which I love. Also featured is a deeply roasted, charcoal component. Full-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is roasty and chocolaty accompanied by a gentle sweetness. Unlike many milk stouts, this is not at all cloying. Super-roasty, charcoal and dark chocolate finish. S_Side_Smitty (802) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - APR 7, 2017
Pours dark dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee and something not quite molasses-like. Taste is creamy coffee up front followed roasty malts and mellow coffee inspired bitterness. Balanced flavors throughout and perfect for a final cool Florida evening. Draft @ Brewery. Pours a pitch black beer with a creamy tanned head on top. Aroma of roasted malts, sweet chocolate, touches of lactose. Flavor is very roasty with bombs of chocolate, and has a sweet, milky lactose aftertaste. Softly carbonated, silky mouthfeel. Nice.
