Poured from a 375 ml bottle, thanks to Craig. The aroma is wood, coconut, fruity, slight hint of nail polish remover. The flavor is coconut , wood, vanilla, chocolate, caramel. Nice beer, a little hot/ thin/barrel heavy. Thanks Craig. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Nose is overly woody. Almost musty and old smelling. Some dust, heavy on the tannins, and a bit of roasted malt. Some mild vanilla and cocoa, too. The flavor has a bit more in terms of char and ash than the nose lets on. Lots of old, musty, dusty wood. A little bit of cocoa, some roasted malt, and just a hint of vanilla. Not a big fan of this. Sledutah (7973) - Utah, USA - AUG 31, 2012
Bottle thanks to PaulUnwin Ibrew2or3 (8912) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Appearance: Dark brown with a small tan head and light lacing
Aroma: Chocolate, woody, coconut and oak
Taste: Toasted malts, chocolate, woody and vanilla
Nice, the new barrels are a bit harsh
Bottle pour at brewpub, thanks guys. It pours a light colored mahogany with off white head. The aroma offers up some sweet molasses as well as some roasted malts and muted molasses covered wood notes. The taste is nice with yummy molasses, smooth dark roasted malts, a bit of chocolate and then faint funkiness in the background. Cool brew. douglas88 (9789) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a dark murky brown color with a medium beige head. A big nose of molasses, roast, oak, I thought this was bourbon barrel aged actually. A sweet flavor with big wood, some heat, roast, dark fruit. Smooth and nice.

Bottle. Nose is full of roast/oak/vanilla/chocolate. Fruity esters also were very present. Pour is dark brown with a tan head. Fruity flavors up front with some nice oak and vanilla on the finish. No hint of the abv and very smooth carb. Great stuff. Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2012
This was a fun porter - and thank you OmegaX for the share. The body was thin and had some decent carbonation to it. Aromas were dry and earthy, with hints of vanilla and chocolate. The taste was the same, some cocoa and light roast with a very mellow vanilla character to it. As it warmed up the oak balanced quite nicely, and finished with some bitter earthy tones. Bottle at home, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks Man!! Poured deep, opaque brown with a small tan head, and good lacing. Smell is hairspray, coconut, light fruits, wood, light funk, and vegetables. Taste is dark cocoa, bread, vegetables, and dark fruits. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Alcohol is hidden well, but overall, very average. UPDATED: AUG 11, 2012 Pour out of bottle,. thanks to Aaron for the pour! Dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma has notes of dark fruits, some vegetal notes, hints of cabbage, off for sure. Taste is a mix of sweet rotten fruit, some dms, bread, hints of rotten corn and cabbage, finishing fairly oaky with a hint of earth. cubs (10740) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 10, 2012
Bottle @ Stephen’s house, courtesy of Devon. Thank you so much! Deep brown appearance with a brown head. Coconut, zesty yeasty, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Tangy, dark chocolate, light veggie/DMS, cabbage, vanilla, dull woody flavor. A little disappointing.
