UPDATED: JUL 12, 2015 On tap at brewery. Pours dark brown with small head. Aroma is full bourbon and chocolate. Taste is strong chocolate and bourbon. What the hell is a chocolate bourbon barrel? Whatever it is , it’s yummy. Finish is clean, very good Maddog (528) - Kettering, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Bottle from Nick. A funky, complex and unique beer that I’m enjoying very much! My first 7venth Sun beer. The pour is very dark brown with reddish tints, and the aroma is incredible with dark fruits and funky, Belgian yeast. The flavors are layered with complexity ranging from dark fruits, oak, and traces of vanilla and bourbon. Funky, malty, yeasty with a dry finish. A great beer! On tap at 7venth Sun. Pours a dark brown to black color with little head. Aged in chocolate bourbon barrels. First thing you notice is the chocolate more than the bourbon. A little malty. Overall a nice combination between the chocolate and the bourbon and it goes down smooth. A great beer.Homer321 (5072) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2014

Booottle share thanks to Kristin224. Aroma of rhubarb and pie like notes. Kinda nutty. Deep brown in color with an off white head. Taste is similar with a funky note to it. Some bourbon and cherry as it warms. Very nice. Quite complex. DrewFace (969) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Bottle share thanks to beechner224. Pours a fairly cloudy dark brown color. Nutty, bourbon, vanilla, oak, and some light funk notes. Sweet, nutty, and some of the funky, lightly tart, brett character, bourbon in the finish and a lingering sweetness.

Draft at 7venth Sun. Pours dark brown with very small off white head. Smell is bitter chocolate, bourbon, barnyard funk, booze. Taste is rich chocolate, bourbon, earthy, brett tang, warm booze. Very crisp body. Very crazy combo, but not bad! UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - DEC 15, 2013
bottle from beechner224. pours dark purple, ruby edges and no head. chocolate, cherries, plums, burnt sugar, light oak. I do not detect brett, must be too fresh. big slick body that lingers. jrob21 (3690) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 31, 2013
Bottle in a recent trade. I can see these guys getting some love here shortly if not now. Nice smooth dark ale with some cocoa notes and a big malt body. Not picking up much brett. Maybe a little bit in the aroma. Some roasty malt notes in the aroma as well. Little bit of fog and dark fruit. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 17, 2014

>> Clear amber, weak foam. Low carbonation. Odd specks of brown film in the glass. Nose is rich bourbon, butter, pie crust, fresh cookie, flan, banana rum, mushrooms. Taste is odd Worcestershire, metallic, salty, savory, cinnamon minced meat pie. Finishes pretty bizarre, prickly. Huh.
375 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of prune, plum, toffee, bourbon, molasses and oak. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, fruitiness, bourbon, molasses and oak with a smooth lingering molasses/ bourbon finish.
