Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours opaque black with a small tan head. Surprisingly rich with a very thick and pleasant mouthfeel. Roasted malt with a little chocolate and almost an ovaltine like flavour to it. I really like this one and will certainly buy it again.

Stuu666 (13660) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle at ash’s. Pours deep brown, nose is chocolate, liquorice, treacle, roasted, taste is sweet, bitter, lightly roasted.

AshtonMcCobb (6694) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - dark brown to black with some orange chinks. Nice head. Nose - caramel, brown bread. Taste - lighter than the nose but similar caramel shortbread notes. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture. The finish kind of falls off a cliff. Overall - ok for the low abv.

allmyvinyl (10723) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb and Stuu666. Pours dark ruby brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of light chocolate, faint treacle. Taste is caramel, fudge. Bit thin. Ok for a mild.

Leighton (21527) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2014
Bottle shared at chriso’s May 2014 tasting - London. Pours rich brown with a frothy beige head. Tangy fruits on the nose, some beat leather. Moderately sweet with further leathery fruits, bread, berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Ripening fruits on the finish. So so.

BlackHaddock (7416) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2014
Gravity pour half-pint at the brewery on 24th May 2014. Full flavoured, good loving Mild: Deep ruby with a creamy head. The brewery was having a small ’Mild Festival’ and this, my second beer, followed the 3.2% ABV Raw Majic Mild and was far superior in all aspects. Almost rich in body depth and feel, it imparted chocolate and coffee notes with a slight vanilla hint also. A traditional Mild worth trying.

ManVsBeer (10643) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2014
Cask @ Navigation Tavern Beer Festival, Mirfield. Hazy copper-amber with a thick creamy head. Has a malty nose and taste but gentle in the palate.

Mr_Pink_152 (5110) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2014
500ml bottle from the brewery. Colour is dark almost black with a small tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate and a hint coffee. A nice mild.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUN 13, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Criterion Leicester 30/05/12. A very dark, almost black coloured beer with a whitish head. A proper mild mild. Cold coffee, dry smokiness, roasty malts, low hopping. Pretty thin but acceptable.

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2011
500ml bottle. Forms a small head that lasts for the duration. Very chocolately aroma. Good body, thankfully not as watery as some milds can be. Tastes a bit metallic at times. Overall a good example of this style.
