500ml bottle from 1420. Pours dark red-copper, hazy, some off white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Malty, caramel, liquorice, roasty aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, silky texture. Taste is caramel, roasted noted, fruity, liquorice, nuts. Very well balanced, quite smooth, Warm, liquor and caramel aftertaste. Very enjoyable.

Pours a dark, rather hazy sepia with a thick and fluffy buff head. Strong aroma has malty, hoppy, hay, and subtle caramel and horehound notes. Lip-smacking flavor mixes malt, woody hops, caramel, fruity and earthy tones with a snipped of horehound. Thick, almost syrupy texture leaves a woody finish and a rather persistent tingle. Long live collaborations!

Bottle gift from SJ. This is actually awesome. Nice notes of nut, caramel malt and hop. I enjoyed it.

500ml bottle @ home. Ordered from Saveur Biere. Sticky lasting foam and Black/Red colour. Berries at aroma and reminds amber ale. Interesting and fine taste with strong berries. Nice one, but not awesome.

24/05 A 0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured slightly hazy brown body with medium sized head. Fine, lightly sourish hop aroma, also fruity and coffee malty, dark fruits with sourish component of its own, as well. Flavor was lightly sweet, woody and cappuccino malty, slightly sourish in coffee and vinous way towards the end. Some yeast notes, along with weird hopiness as well. Medium bodied. Although a bit messy, it was very fine but most definitely didn’t impress me.

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous. Semi dry. Mild minerally carbonation. Rich brown malts with subtle coffee and roast. Very mild lactose. Lightly tangy and with a whisper of licorice. Good piney hops. Mild minerally finish, semi dry. All right.

Bottle 50 cl, BBE 03/2014. Pours dark clear brown in color with a small off-white head. Sweet green leafs , notes of hard fudge and light smokiness in aroma. Later on also some quite the bready malty vibes on the nose. Nice, soft and silky-sweet mouthfeel. Light wooden notes, butterscotch sweetness in taste with underlying notes of pine and grape, but they are very well disguised. Exquisite brew really. You feel the warming of the alcohol for awhile before some sweeter notes takes charge and eventually the piney and grape bitterness appears towards the finish, they’re quite gentle though. Feels like so much is going in this beer. Even a bit of slightly burnt nuttyness in the end. Highly enjoyable with a nice and warming vinous touch. Awesome.

Pours dark amber with a soft tan head. Aroma is caramel, rye bread, walnuts, toffee, figs. Taste is caramel, figs, vanilla, almonds, grass, hay, crystallized malts. Really good!

In short: ROBBED!
Appearance: Dark and subtle red color with a frothy tan head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Fruity and deep malty.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a harse deep bitterness. Soft carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Rich fruity and lots of malt.
Overall impression: I have been robbed. The price was hilarious, but everbody has said that this one was outstanding. So let it be. But I should have had this one many months ago. All the hopps had gone to an harse unbalanced hop hell. But the taste actually got better when it got warmer.
Personal stats: Bottle from Håndtverkerstuene in Oslo, Norway.
