Aroma suave de pasas y uvas. Muy oscura por un ’amber’. Sabor de caramelo, quemado, tostada, pasas y regaliz. Bien rica! Muy buen cuerpo. Excelente.

Bottle. Very impressive beer for an amber, huge body, tons of roasted malts but good balance.

#1550. Bedankt Antoine. 50 cl. fles @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Iets vollere mondgevoel,… heerlijk, interessant, goed gedaan,… prachtig ... euwsome.

Bottle. Pours dark mahogany brownish red with off white head. Aroma has resin, caramel, toffee, dark dried fruits, raisins, prune, nutty and grapefruit. Taste has rich dried fruits, dates, prunes, apricot, with some grapefruit, caramel and toffee, molasses. Full bodied, sweet with a bitter finish. A fine blend, it pulls in a lot of directions but remains tasty and the flavours work. My kind of mess

Deep dark amber with a small film og foam. Pine and floralness with hints of grapefruit aroma. Sweet caramel backbone. taste has alot og pine also, but with a nice fruityness from dark fruits like dates and raisins. Caramel body is solid with a good balancing sweetness towards the bitter, piney hops. truly lives up to its name. Full body and medium carbonation.

From a bottle poured a dark amber color with a fair amount of head. Strong sweet malty flavor with a lasting finish.

16.9 oz bottle. Deep, clear purple brown with a coating beige head. Nose is caramel, black grapes, grass and butterscotch. Kind of heavy; syrup, resin with a lightening buzz. Taste is up front pine and toffee, lesser notes of strawberry finishing with grapefruit. I would’ve liked to have gotten more of the Scotch ale influence but still a great blend.

Bottle. Piney, burned caramel, chocolate, butter. Big bodied. More like a american strong ale than a amber.

0.5l bottle from 2D2Dspuma, Barcelona shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a near clear dark plum-amber one with a small light bubbly and sidesticking off-white head. The aroma is not extreme at first, then after a while it opens a bit more up. I get sweet caramel and sweet fruits. Dark fruits also. No doubt that it’s on the sweet side this one. Yea:, same in texture, sweet and almost sticky with a soft to average carbonation level. The taste has lots of caramel and dried raisins mixed with mellow dates and alcohol. The alcohol is quite present here actually. Lots of hops! Could be the hops that confusing me, not alcohol when I come to think of it. Lovely balance anyway, and there is also traces of chocolate hidden in here. Yupp, it’s an awesome beer. No doubt. Glad I have a couple of more of bottles of this. 24.09.2012

Bottle shared with Veitafan. Pours a reddish brown colour with a medium light beige frothy head. Grainy and fruity hops in the aroma along with berries, wood, lots of malt, spices and raisins. Fruity hops also in the mouth with grapefruit, oak and leather. Has a soft and nice mouthfeel, and a medium bitterness. A nice balanced and good ale.
