As Batch 31 @ 11%. Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is airy and fairly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Decent dark chocolate laden malts, bitterish, trace of woody bitterness. Mild vanilla and coffee. Some dark fruits, well buried. More rich dark chocolate on the finish. Quite drinkable, if it had been a tad sweeter it would have been great.
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Meilby. Pours a thick pitch black with a small brown head. Heavy hard roast aroma with a distinct whisky character - Scotch? Solid body, sweet hard roast, sweet yet subtle whisky notes, some dark fruits and a discreet malt bitterness. Well made. 131011 Beerhunter111 (22478) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 28, 2014
