UPDATED: DEC 28, 2012 Good solid beer. Have tried it a few times, had it when it was green and wasn’t that impressed, however, now after some ageing it is fantastic. Lovely balance and texture. creative_free (37) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 9, 2011
Amazing beer. Aroma jumps out of the glass. Chocolate, vanilla, oak, berries, coffee, very complex. Taste is just as good. Is sweet but also has a nice bitterness. Very full mouthfeel.Actually very drinkable for the ABV. Reminds me a lot of Mikkeller Beer Geek Brunch. Mrnoluv (354) - long beach, California, USA - JUL 27, 2012
In my opinion this is one of the best stout’s out there. Aroma, perfect, after taste, perfect, the color is black gold, roasted perfect! Drink just before freezing and I am telling you, only Speedway’s stout is better! Perfect ABV content, just wish a tad bit more caramel/sweetness is needed, other than that, this is a perfect stout! I love it! maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 28, 2011

Pours jet black with a small, tan ring for a head. Nose is all bourbon and vanilla intertwined with a complexity of coffee and cocoa. Oak surrounds the senses. Starts with a thick cocoa like feel and finishes with sweet vanilla, oak and bourbon. Lingers forever. Unbelievable joergen (28108) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2012

Bottle at home.
Pitch black coloured with a small beige head.
Sweet and roasted aroma of dark chocolate and dried fruits with notes of alcohol and oak.
Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate, coffee, caramel and dried fruits with notes of hops, oak and alcohol.
Roasted and warming alcoholic finish.
Black with decent, creamy, brown head / Rich, intense nose of molasses, dark fruit, tobacco, chocolate, and coffee / Full body, inky, relatively smooth but with high bitterness, mostly dry with a hint of sweetness, and long finish / Flavors of dark roast coffee, bittersweet chocolate, tobacco, licorice, coconut, caramel, and oak / Very bitter, characteristic of a coffee stout, but nicely compensated for by good body and flavor profile. Outstanding. jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 30, 2012
Bottle from mane liquor cheers josh. Jet black pour with a tanned disappearing head. Aromas of bourbon, ash, espresso, slight hint of vanilla and wood. This is intense stuff. Taste is surprisingly smooth. Bottle has been aged for 18 months so the harshness isn't even there. Can't taste the alcohol. Lots of espresso bourbon and heaps of chocolate in the finish. Very well crafted beer. Hints of spicy hops in there too. I don't wanna put my glass down. Doesn't get much better than this! adamkaitlyn (1) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 13, 2011 does not count
A very nice drop. Take it easy as this is quite a strong beer. Hard to drink more than 1 in a session. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 24, 2012
Bottle. Black with a creamy tan head. Great chocolate citrus amber coffee and oak aroma and taste with a strong dark chocolate and woody finish. Thick silky velvety palate. Excellent. Marheb (5752) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Tapisse le palais de ces atouts, café, chocolat, mélasse et végétation. Son corps somptueux cache la presque totalité de l’alcool. Très facile à boire pour sa grosseur malgré une belle richesse.
