Poured Out black.
Nose has dark stone fruit, dates, honey, treacle.
Mouthfeel is juicy. Palate has roasty sweet flavors. Toasted barley, honeyed dates, Woody bitter.
Overall, i love this one so very much because of the velvety smooth palate and mouthfeel, as opposed to another 8 wired favorite, which is the Bumaye which had a much more aggressive palate. This was hardly boozy and came off more like a good cafe au lait or sweet coffee.

A looker, this heavyish RIS has good rich sap dark chocolate, earth, prune, liquorice, some peripheral root beer &molassess. Some hard carb to start but in time in glass this largely passes. 500ml bottle pours a black color with a bit of brown head. Rich burnt malt flavors and some dank hops to go.

Bottle shared by Benzai, 25 cl sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of spicy licorice, fruity dates and sugary malt. Didnt get any vanilla though. Bottle shared with Caesar. Opaque pitch black color, small brown head. Aroma and flavor both have malts, dates, roast, licquorice, oak, light roast and a hint of smoked malts in the background. Xmas 2016. BMEUP Cellar. Dark brown/black, thin tan head. Roast malt, oak, sweet dark fruit, chocolate, nuts and vanilla. Flavours of sweet dark chocolate, mild coffee, vanilla, dark fruits, raisins and woody oak smoke. Still enough bitterness to balance that sweetness. Complex beer, nice find in the cellar. Dark, rich chocolate, sweet, dark fruits, prunes, dates, figs, wood barrel ageing. Hazy, very, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Medium to heavy sweet. More dark chocolate, oak, dark, sweet, toasted malts, intensely sweet, dark grains, soft carbonation, full bodied, rich chocolate in the finish. Pours black pitch, thick, oily, without head nor visible carbonation. Aroma is ripe fruit, dark malts, cocoa and vanilla. Taste, delicious, feels dark malts, dates, cocoa, vanilla, oak and smoke. Quite sweet Imperial Stout, full bodied, boozy, lingering after taste. Impressive!
