Bottle at Cookie. Full marks. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, rum. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Black, with a thin head. colui72 (1070) - HONG KONG - APR 29, 2017
2013 batch. Opaque black, with a small tan head, no much carbonation and no lacing. Aroma, beautiful, of vanilla, wood, roasted malts and wine. Taste gets molasses, wood and wine at first, then roasted malts, prunes, all along the lingering Pinot Noir character. Quite sugary, with a light tart feeling in the throat as a after taste, . Full body, soft carbonation, slick feel, booze very well hidden, although this 16% warms up later! Get 2 of these and you’ll be smashed! Awesome brew. 2013 Vintage. 500ml bottle. Pours a deep black with slight brown head. Huge thick aroma full of fruits, alcohol, and chocolate. Full body with strong chocolate notes which develop into a medium sweetness near the end. Surprising that there was only a very subtle alcohol flavour present considering the 16% ABV. Marduk (8059) - Reval, ESTONIA - JAN 17, 2014
330ml bottle. Pitch black color. Tiny to almost no head. Whisky, wood, grapes, wine, mold in aroma. Unique aroma. Moldy, grapes, wine, alcohol, roast, raisins, minerals in taste. Everything is absolutely in perfect balance. Even crisp bite in taste is in its place. Absolutely fantastic beer! drjoeng (1357) - SINGAPORE - AUG 9, 2017
16%ABV. Imperial Stout.
Poured out black with black and oily. 40SRM.
Nose is liniment, Chinese medicine, coffee, treacle, chocolate lava cake, fermenting cacao pods. Grape peel, dark grape and a deeply earthy aroma.
Mouthfeel is syrupy. Palate is aggressively boozy on the front, almost prohibitively so. Palate has pronounced grape-y earthy flavors, and as a general observation presents many elements of a solid pinot noir.
Finish is surprisingly clean with pleasant woody and earthy flavors.

This is big. Lots of boozey notes. Barrel influence is subdued, but becomes more noticeable over time. Still significant bitterness. Warming. Complex. Thought-provoking. BungEye (27) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 29, 2013
Short rating as getting through backlog. Beautiful colour and aroma. Can’t believe this is so high in ABV. Chocolate liquorice, can taste the wine barrels. Another classy beer from 8 wired ansalon (4079) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2013

On tap @CBC13. Color is black with big tan head. Both aroma and taste of roast malt, chocolate, tar, leather, coffee, caramel, earthy hops and some vanilla notes. A bit astringent taste, in a good way Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 12, 2013
