Tap at Craft, Clerkenwell - 10/12/12.
Opaque dark chestnut brown with a thin tan head that clears fairly quickly. Good lacing follows.
Big coffee punch on the schnozzer, roast malts, espresso, light burnt tones.
Taste comprises coffee, although nowhere near as strong as the nose, roast malts, sweet dark sugars, hops, touch pine.
Full bodied with soft carbonation lending towards a hoppy coffee finish.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma of hazelnut coffee and toasted nuts - not overly pungent, especially considering the flavour. Flavour is very rich, surprisingly so, with lots of coffee, toasted hazelnuts, dark roasted malt, and rich caramel malt sweetness. Surprisingly full-bodied, with dominating flavours of caramel and hazelnut coffee. Finishes sweet and nutty. Excellent stuff. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 16, 2013
Bottle. It’s a clear one, brown in color and with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is rather one tracked, leaving little room for anything else but the coffee, but it’s cleverly done. Coffee bitterness, coffee and some chocolate and vanilla in the flavor, something spiced blending in. Full body, semi-dry and pleasantly carbonated. The finish has some notes of citrusy hops blending with the coffee. A touch of vanilla and chocolate too. Wonderful. 130216 jtclockwork (16424) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 25, 2012

500ml bottle (ALEhouse, Riga)
Alas, served pretty much at room temperature. Smells of runner beans. Beans which have burnt to the side of the pan, which is similar in smell to burnt cabbage. Taste is less beany, but still more bean than coffee. Smooth palate, nice carbonation. Body is at first milky, but later creamy, and even later buttery. Nice thick heavy branny husky grains. Hops provide a nice bitterness that tingles the tongue. Anna liked it more, as she’s not anti-coffee like me. If it had been colder, I may have been less perturbed by the beaniness.
