COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In my opinion, coffee rivals beer for the title of "greatest beverage in the world". I often say that I would rather give up beer than coffee. So it is only natural that we would attempt to make a beverage that incorporates both. If we were to succeed, surely this would then become the greatest beverage in the world? After years of research and trials in the garage, I have come up with what I think is the perfect marriage of coffee and beer: A hoppy double brown ale, that compliments both the roasty and fruity aspects of the coffee without putting up too much of a fight. The coffee was selected in collaboration with the Christchurch institution C4 Coffee and consists mainly of lightly roasted, delicate and floral, Ethiopian beans. Worlds are colliding and, in my humble opinion, greatness is achieved on the other side.

HOPS: Pacific Jade, NZ Cascade and Pacifica

MALT: Gladfield Pale, Crystal, Munich, Caramalt, Chocolate, Oats

YEAST: Wyeast 1272 - American Ale II

bottle from pivni rozmanitost in prague. more black than brown with a fluffy brown head; aroma of mudcake dough, vanilla cream and, of course, coffee beans; loads of bitter chocolate flavours, rice krispies, good whack of bitterness, beautifully balanced

The coffee bean smell make you think you are in Starbucks. There is also a hint of vanilla. Huge fluffy white head, beautiful caramel color! The taste is just like it smells, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, caramel. The swallow is sweet, bitter, perfect combination. Just the right amount of ABV. Warning this tastes way to good to have more than one because you can’t put it down and with the 8% ABV, it’s way too easy to drink. Be careful, it will creep on you if you have two!!!! Great Beer!

Rating #1875 - 2015.08.31 - Draught - Three Boars. Pours a rich copper brown with a tan foam. Aroma is coffee grounds, earth, woodsmoke. Palate is mild caramel toffee, strong earthy roasty coffee. Extraordinary depth of coffee flavour, decent bitterness. Lovely stuff.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2014 Just realised I am going from tea (Yeastie Gunnamatta) to coffee. Massive coffee aromas, and pours nice and dark. This beer has length that just lingers and lingers in the back palate. Not that I drink coffee, but it wins on the day.

strong aroma of coffee and chocolate. roasty, toasty. malts. Initial sip starts a little malty, bitter, and ends very smooth chocolate/coffee. Leaves a strong coffee taste In your mouth, as if you just had your last sip of morning coffee.

Pours a dark hazy brown with mimimal white head. Aromas of coffee and some malt. Strong strong coffee flavours. This is like drinking a cold coffee with some carbonation. The flavours have some complexity which makes this an interesting beer.

500mL bottle. Pours clear light cola with a big coffee bean/ roasted malt aroma and not a hint of any hops. Wow first sip and you realise why Søren is such and awe inspiring brewer. The marrige of coffee and ale has been made in heaven and it has a nice sweetness to counter the coffee/hop bitterness. I’m not a huge fan of brown ales but this beer is uniquely amazing.

Very interesting beer. The coffee taste is prominent, but not overbearing. Most definitely an acquired taste.

Unclear medium brown, Large frothy beige head, lasting with lace. Delicious fresh coffee bean aroma with some roasted malt and smoke, chocolate. Medium to full body. Smooth and creamy, clean hoppy finish. Roasty. Fantastic coffee flavor. Love that the coffee actually has the center stage. Everything I hope for in a coffee beer.

Butelka 50cl. USTA : piwo jest mało gazowane i mocno nasycone. można streścić piwo do eksplozji smaków podobnych do piernika, przesłodzonej mocnej kawy, lodów malaga z polewa toffi.
