500ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some really nice ropey lacing on the glass. Aroma is fresh grapefruit and tropical fruits with some cereal grains. Taste is a grapefruit hop bitterness with some sweetness from the malts and tropical fruits. Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Flavors are well balanced. This is an outstanding IPA that I thoroughly enjoyed. Gerbeer (4020) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 5, 2013
500 ml bottle. Pours a yellow/brown with light head. Bright aromas of toffee and green unripened fruit (peaches and apples). Flavor of tobacco, toasted malts, spruce, brown sugar, and light resin. So this is what fresh NZ hops taste like? Much better than the standard HopWired. I’ll have another. DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 4, 2013
Bottle. Slightly hazy deep orange body with a thick head that leaves cables of lace down my chalice. aroma is pungent with verdant hop character with an underlying ripe papaya sweetness. The palate delivers oily hops galore, peppery and grassy, with background ripe tropical fruits, papaya and guava and sweet melon. Long bitterness in the finish. Just awesome. Huge passionfruit and capsicum aromas. Lightly coloured with minimal lacing. Passionfruit, green peppercorns, green capsicum and grassy flavours dominate the flavour profiles. Although quite bitter, there is an attractive lightness and freshness to the overall palate. Great beer. 8 Wired is right up there with the best southern hemisphere brewers.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel and intense hops. Taste is medium sweet of fruit and caramel leading to a storng hoppy bitter finish. For me, probably just a little better than the regular version. Awesome stuff!

Pours a cloudy copper colour and a half inch of white foam on the op that slowly shrinks and leaves lace up the glass. aroma is sweet tropical fruits, and pine. Flavor is resin, grapefruit, tropical fruit, med-high balanced bitterness that really makes the beer. Great fresh beer! Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 20, 2013
Pours a hazy dark amber with a frothy white head head hat leaves lots of lace. Aroma is citrus hops, sweet pale malts, tropical fruits and slight floral esthers. Taste is rich malts, citrus and tropical fruits and a nice crisp and clean bitterness throughout. Excellent wet hopped ipa. HopRedHead (397) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 16, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours golden orange with a short, creamy off-white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, resin and pine. Taste is grapefruit, citrus and grassy flavours. Body is thick for an IPA and there is little carbonation. Sticky sweet with not as much malt as the normal hopwired. Still, great drop. bmeup (680) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - JUN 9, 2013
@Archive. Fresh is the word as these vanish from the shelf very quick. Orange amber with a powerful aromatic whitish cover that just hangs on the glass. Intense fruity tropical hops and pleasant bitterness and not quite as much malt sweetness as Hopwired. An excellent NZIPA. Thinking a trip across "the Ditch" to Blennheim is going to be much anticipated. stoutnick (843) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 28, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Deep peach orange. Aroma is tropical fruit. Taste is fruit and mild resin. Palate is mild sticky. Overall, nice IPA, but prefer the malty wonders of the original hopwired.
