We believe HopWired is the first bottled version of a true new world India Pale Ale made with NZ grown base malt and 100% truly unique NZ hops. We bet you’ll find nothing else like it on the shelves. Although the malty sweetness is there, this beer is all about the hops. Unlike an American I.P.A. which will mainly hit you with a grapefruity-citrus flavour and aroma, the unique NZ hops used in HopWired are more like a tropical punchbowl: Passion fruit, lime, oranges and Sauvignon Blanc to name but a few. A local Marlborough winemaker said it smelled like gooseberries... Gooseberries? Who has ever smelled a gooseberry?? Decide for yourself or just enjoy it without further complications. Cheers!

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a golden orange with a small off white head. Nose smells amazing the citrus fruits, passionfruit & mango really jump out of the glass. Taste just delivers what the aromas provide. Well balanced with the hops, citrus and malts combining well together. Lots of fruit (Nelson sauvin hop dominant). Amazing from start to finish.

Nice white wine aroma mixed with passion fruit and gooseberries. Also slightly earthy. Clear amber color with an offwhite head. Medium bodied with a dry and bitter finish. An amazing South Pacific IPA.

kaserov (688) - Oviedo, SPAIN - APR 13, 2017
Color naranja, turbio, con capa de espuma de un blanco amarillento de tres dedos de grosor (buena retención). Carbonatación mínima. Cuerpo medio (cremosa). Aroma a malta, caramelo, algo de lúpulo. Sabor maltoso, ligeramente tropical, fuerte. Seca. Amargor elevado que continúa en postgusto eternamente. Sin más.

colui72 (989) - HONG KONG - APR 13, 2017
Hazy amber, lot of carbonation, medium white head and some lacing. Nose of resin, mango and passion fruit. Medium bodied, with a nice carbonation, good malty and hoppy balance with toffee, caramel, mango, passion fruit, resin and pine. Quite bitter. Very good ale.

ATulloch (303) - Aberdeenshire, SCOTLAND - MAR 23, 2017
Bottle from Deeside drinks emporium. Pours a clear orange, with a small head that fades. Aromas of juicy orange, pineapple, citrus and pine. Flavour is tropical fruits, citrus and apple with pepper and pine finish.

Gingham (17) - Hawera, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 19, 2017
Golden colour with limited head. Some fruit on the nose. First mouthful hits you with the bitter hops but smoothed out as my taste buds equalised. Certainly has the hop overload as promised. Some nice fruit flavours coming through. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Intense IPA, solid head, clear aromas of good intensity, lima, watermelon, the roasty is there. There is something creamy on it. Superb balance.
