3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2012 Bottle courtesy of Evin from Kernel Brewery, some kind Kiwi dropped it off there. However, this followed a glass of I Hardcore You so my tastebuds may not have been on top form. Poured a pale amber with an off white head. The nose was great, lots of fruits, typical of NZ hops. We guessed there were some pacific gem involved? Also a little grassiness and hint of caramel sweetness. Flavor did not live up to the aroma, the hops were still there but dulled by the alcohol and sweetness. I found it a little thin, hot and astringent in the finish. Not a bad beer by any means, just needs a little finesse.Re-rate: much more fresh this time. Still some caramel, heat and sweetness but theres much more complex piney, fruity hop in the flavor. The Nelson just sings...Awesome, just goes to show how freshness can make all the difference and how we should all make the effort to visit the source over foreign bottles! Previously 3.2 6/3/5/3/15
Pours a hazy deep amber with a decent off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, malt, hops, slight blueberry, grass, biscuit. Taste is sweet upfront, with a hoppy middle leading to a fairly bitter finish that lingers for a bit. Medium to thin bodied, low carbonation. Pretty good!

Keg six degrees north. Pours clear amber, thin off white head. This is a very subtle and complex beer. Aroma is fruit, more fruit, vermouth, malt. Taste is dry, with again fortified wine notes. Interesting and well made. Not your typical IPA. PabloZab (1705) - Wroclaw, POLAND - OCT 21, 2017
Bottle 330ml (BB 25.07.2018). Clear, dark-golden colour. White-yellowish head. Good lacing. There are notes of citrus, resin, tropical fruits and malts on the nose. Malty in taste, medium body balanced of medium, resin bitternes. Light in feeling, smooth, even refreshing, drinkable and full of flavors. Really good IPA with NZ hops, I'm glad to had opportunity to taste this beer. Skarecrow (941) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 18, 2017

Carbonazione medio bassa. notevole. simontomlinson (590) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2017

Color dorado, translúcido, con capa de espuma blanca de tres dedos de grosor (buena retención). Carbonatación suave. Textura acuosa. Aroma a pino, resina, malta caramelizada. De entrada casi dulce, con mucho sabor pino, base de malta caramelizada muy presente. Final de amargor resinoso suave pero duradero. Seca. Buen postgusto. Disfrutable pero un poco vista ya. No capto mucha fruta tropical, la verdad.
