Beware, this is a BIG beer. Brimming with luscious roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavours which are balanced by a brisk bitterness and bold freshness from the hops. If you’re feeling politically incorrect try it with your favourite cigar, or a dram of your best single malt whisky. Or, if your tooth is sweeter, why not jump in at the deep end with the most decadent dessert of all; half a bottle in a glass with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top (beer geeks like us know it as the Imperial Stout Float). Or simply enjoy it on its own as a decadent dessert or night cap - the perfect winter warmer! If you don’t already know the history of Russian Imperial Stouts please check it out on the internet, it’s a good story. But remember, although based on that century-old classic style, this beer is a very modern interpretation, like all our beers!

Cooperii (63) - California, USA - AUG 31, 2012
Poured black, slight light brown head with fine bubbles. Aromas are subtle hoppy coffee notes, with toasted malts and chocolate followed with hints of cherries. Flavors are bitter citrus and hops, strong coffee and malt notes, subtle cherry flavors at the back end. Finish; very brisk stout, fairly well balanced, leaving more on the bitter side then the sweet side, alcohol is well hidden. This is a great beer will buy more when available.

jandorris (897) - Warsaw, POLAND - JAN 10, 2018
Mocno zbożowe, ciut zbytnio wysycone. Sporo gorzkiej czekolady, palonych słodów. W sumie raczej wytrawne, ale w przyjemną stronę.

gr_pa (912) - siemianowice, POLAND - JAN 8, 2018
Dark brown, clear, excellent head. Aroma: coffee, malt, cereal, vanilla, toast, caramel, bread. Full to medium body, high to medium sweetness, medium bitterness. Taste: coffee, cocoa, fruits (mainly cherriess), quite bitter, roasty finish. Great balance, very rich, alcohol well hidden.

karpik (1504) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - JAN 8, 2018
Chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, herbs in nose. Pours black with tan head. Taste is sweet with chocolate, coffee, caramel, roasty notes. Medium bitter finish, soft carbonation and full body. Overall very good classic Impy.

wojanex (529) - warszawa, POLAND - JAN 7, 2018
W aromacie mleczna czekolada, w ustach już zdecydowanie gorzka. Klasyczna risowa podstawa, do leżakowania, pita dziś budzi szacunek ale nie zachwyca. Mało efektowny, ale poważny trunek.

dropi6 (707) - POLAND - JAN 5, 2018
Nice looks. Chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, raosty, hint of fruits, some hops. Very oily and thick. Supprisingly good stout.

A New Zealand beer so good Australia should claim it. They can have Russell Crowe back if necessary. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

tightslice (1523) - Redwood City, California, USA - DEC 12, 2017
Bottle from K&L in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is licorice, dark chocolate, coffee, leathered dark fruits. Taste is tangy dark chocolate, licorice, mild charcoal with a bitter bark and ashy finish. Beefy stuff.

LazyPyro (1787) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a large tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Taste is rich, chocolate, coffee, roast malt, caramel, dark/dried fruits, liquorice, bitter roasty finish. Medium-full bodied, silky smooth creamy mouthfeel, fine carbonation. A sublime stout, one of the best I've had from this part of the world.

weihenweizen (4203) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2017
Refrigerated 0.5 brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is dark dry chocolate, coffee, and some herbal hops.
