Unclear medium to dark amber orange colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, nutty, caramel, dried fruit, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, grass. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, hoppy, caramel, dried fruit, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Extremely deep dark maroon, purple, brown color, small but thick tan head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, figs, plums, slightly burnt caramel. CBC. Very very tired rating! Light haze on this amber beer. Crisp malts. Minerals. Light marmalade hops. Some floral character. Dry finish. Pretty slammed at this point. Need to revisit. 3.7

Tasting at Bruce’s new pad. Thanks to Josh for the opportunity top revisit. Hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Light dry palate, smooth. Tasty and semi sweet caramel malt. Light barrel induced paint ester. Light citrus and pine hops. Finishes smooth with mildly bitter toffee and a little spice. Nice!

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2013 Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to Josh. Pours clear amber with a foamy head. Nose has caramel, bread, some pine. Medium sweet flavor, toasty grass, caramel, dried berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish, more grass, pine, some toasty bread, orange rind. Alright. Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 2. Pours cloudy, ruby-brown with a light, creamy head. Big and sugary with notes of pine, ripe fruits, caramel and toasted bread. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming at the end with sticky sugars, bitter pine, alcohol and ripe orange. A bit hot and bitter. Kind of rough around the edges. (3.3)
CBC. Hazy reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit, wood and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 040513
