Bottle to IPA glass.
Aroma of brown sugar, grapefruit, oak, and pine. Cloudy amber with a creamy off white head but a bunch of particulates. Taste is heavy pine from beginning to end, with some sugar and a smoky bitter finish. The first taste was a bit overwhelming, but it’s getting better as I drink it. Maybe, that’s the 11% talking. lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 12, 2014

Pours a dark amber colour with a small head. Aroma of caramel, wooden notes, mild vanilla notes and biscuit. Rich flavour of caramel, some mint, wood, vanilla, biscuit, floral bitterness and berries. Mild smoked notes as well. Full bodied and oily mouthfeel. Heavy.
Dark cream-coloured head over red-amber beer. Sweet-alcoholic, liqueurish and perfumed. Cheesy hints, strawberry. Bitterish, pine & resin, and a malt/syrupy underbuild. Again cheesy & fruity. Finish is sweet, if a tad astringent, with a flavour as from apricot liqueur. Quite well-bodied, very slick to nearly viscous/oily. Slight alcoholburn. Quite good barleywine, but it has a slight "beefed/pimped up" streak. antonstoop (329) - - FEB 17, 2014
A dark red amber beer, with an average white head. The nose is very sweet, lots of alcohol, caramel, oak, malt and toffee. It is a full bodied beer with a no carbonation. In the taste there is oak, sweet, caramel, light smokey, alcohol and light bitter. The aftertaste is oak, bittersweet and alcohol. More a barleywine then an amerian ale.

Pours dark reddish brown with a small head. Aroma of raisins, wood, caramel, toffee, oak and grassy hops. Taste is sweet, syrupy, caramely and woody with loads of toffee, fudge, oak and some notes of ripe fruits and grassy hops. Finish is sweet, malty and heavy with syrupy notes, ripe fruits, raisins and grassy hops. A bit stingy and unbalanced.
Bottle. Pours mostly clear deep amber with a creamy beige head. The aroma is hoppy and oaky with some deep malty notes. Sweet malty flavor with notes of oak and light smoke. Woody finish. The alcohol is noticeable in the finish but the hops helps it to be quite drinkable.

Bottle. Pours darker brown in color with a tan head. Bit of smoke, wood and butterscotch in aroma with a hefty load of fruityness backing it up. Bit on the sweeter side in taste with some notes of vanilla and smokyness too. Notes of honey and dark syrup later on, sweet maltyness too. Quite filling, with some vinous notes in the end. Birra intensa che colpisce subito con una nota affumicata e morbida che poi volge a una profonda esplosione di caramello, ammorbidito dalle note legnose e leggermente torbate e balsamiche dell’invecchiamento.
