Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear brown, no head. Didn’t know what to expect from this, so the smoke was a surprise! Nice woody aromas too. Stone fruit in the background. Taste brings it all together very nicely, with some vanilla and sherry. Lovely. olio (10472) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 12, 2014

Dark mahogany color, small head. Sweet smoky taste, caramel malts and faint hops, sweet ripe fruits and sugar also. Sweet caramel flavor with oak, toffee, some ripe fruits with brown sugar and mild booze at the end. Very sweet sticky palate, mild alcohol burn. A slow sipper. Very nice.
Rating #978 - February 14, 2014 - $11.79 CAD for a 330ml bottle 11%. Did not do my beer geek homework on this. Thought I was in for a really awesome DIPA. Pour did little to dissuade. Bubbly boozy amber pour with a decent white head. Aroma is citrusy hops and charred wood chips. Palate gathers most of this up, lots of toffee malt, citrus, pine, and a decent amount of wood smoke. An unexpected delight. spacecube (1750) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2014
330ml bottle, pours deep red, amber, dark brown, with a small head and a hazy translucent body. Aroma has caramel & toffee malt, shortbread, hints of citrus, dark fruit, blueberrry, the oak aging comes throgh nicely adding richness to the palate, which is thick and creamy. Almost barley wine like, but very drinkable for 11& abv. Very nice. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 30, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown/mahogany beer with a tan head. Rich malt and grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and toffee flavor with caramel. Medium-plus bodied. Grapefruit and toffee linger with caramel and light pine.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is big malty caramel, huge oak, vanilla and more. Flavour is quite sweet with loads of caramel, mocca, vanilla, some alcohol, light bitterness of mocca in the finish. Very nice. cards04 (2886) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - SEP 17, 2015
Wow..kind of shocked me as I was pouring. Thick and muddy. Reddish brown colour. Aromas oak, smoke, and vanilla. No booze present. Flavours are barrel, a bit of smoke but a great balance between malts and hop. A big beer to be sure. And a tasty one. Thanks Dresden. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - SEP 17, 2015
Just saw that cards rated this and then bodices I didn’t have a rating for it, despite having it multiple times. Cmon. This is a dumb rating but I really enjoyed this drpimento (3736) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 25, 2015
The ingredients used were noticeable and were as in the deScription, but this bottle seemed almost flat and that greatly changed the whole picture and not for the better. Pity. What was there was pretty good. cmacklin (1277) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 18, 2016
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy red-orange with a thin, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit, brown sugar,
spice and oak. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar, spice, oak, booze and a hint of smoke with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium to full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Very nice, has some complexity to it.
