0,5 bottle. Pours deep ruby-amber with a really nice off white head. Aromas of dark fruits, caramel and alcohol. Same goes for flavors. Great mouthfeel. Nice bitterness.

Bottle from local Vinmonopol.

Pours a deep cherry red / dark amber beer, with a nice off-white head.

Smells very awesome! Hops, fruits, strawberry jam, a tiny note of citrusy hops.

The flavor is more on the malty side, with definite notes of bread, caramel and hints of coffee in the finish/aftertaste. Also, the fruity notes from the aroma and a solid hop character. I’m also getting a black currant type of flavor in there.

Tastewise there’s a nice amount of bitterness on the "edges" and in the aftertaste, with a nice malty sweetness in the "center". A tiny bit too bitter for my personal taste. The mouthfeel is nice and full, and the carbonation is low, pleasant and soft.

Farven er mørk mahogni, med et lavt hvitt skum. Aroma av vanilje, toffee og noe citrus. Smaken er vinøs, men med markert bitterhet. Toner av karamell, honning og furu. En meget god øl.

Would I like another one? Sure! Medium head that is lasting forever. Fruity, malty aroma that brings your imagination of having the first beer outside at the springtime. You can understand that it’s kind of heavy beer from the first taste impressions - they are a little bit sweer as usual with strong beers, but within a second it’s gone and replaced with the really nice bitterness that lasts and lasts.

hcalsos (205) - Rælingen, NORWAY - SEP 29, 2012

RawKuz (60) - NORWAY - JAN 26, 2013
Pours dark brown, with tan head. For a American Strong Ale this is a full bodied beer. Rich malt taste, and good balance with the hops.

npwgallagher (52) - valparaíso, CHILE - NOV 19, 2012
Aroma suave de pasas y uvas. Muy oscura por un ’amber’. Sabor de caramelo, quemado, tostada, pasas y regaliz. Bien rica! Muy buen cuerpo. Excelente.

TANGO73 (40) - SPAIN - OCT 19, 2012
Great dark mahogany with a beige head. Aroma has alot of organic grassy hops, hazelnuts, weak roasted notes, caramel/toffee, light vanillaish and sweet fruits. Taste is more dominated by hops and citrus fruits but still some dark nuances like caramel, toffee, darker fruits.Very nice
