Bottle from Craig, cheers Craig at Cropredy Festival Saturday 11th August 2012 Dark chestnut brown with a creamy textured slim light beige head. Cracking amber ale, very typical Nogne touch to this, soft praline nuttiness, lovely. This is considerably beter than Dennis Locarrie. Not a fan too excited about Amber Ale’s however this is an Amber on steroids. A7 A4 T8 P3 Ov15 3.7

Bottle from City Beer. Pours brown with an attractive beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty dark malt flavor with lots of balancing bitterness and a smoky finish. Complex and interesting.

50 cl bottle @ home.
The hop profile isn’t as intense anymore, which was to be expected of course, some toffee has appeared, mild alcohol burn and lots of caramel. The fruits have ripened a bit too. Quite creamy palate, ripe fruits and caramel on the taste. Nice warming alcohol kick at the end. So a small step towards barley wine, which makes it slightly tastier for me. Reminds me of Nøgne Ø #500 a bit.

50 cl bottle @ vPBF.
Pours clear red-brown color with small head. Aroma of hops, mild fruits, malts, caramel and some hay. Flavor of malts, caramel, fruits, mild hops and toffee notes. Decent but definitely not awesome.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Dark orangish brown, fairly clear appearance with a creamy, brown head. Nutty, creamy caramel, toasty malty, earthy/herbal hoppy aroma. Caramel, biscuity, toasty malty, toffee, mild dark fruity, grapefruity, nutty flavor. Somewhat strong but it is quite smooth for the abv.

50cl bottle from Geers, BB 03/2013.

Bottle. (thanks SirLimpsalot) Dark amber with a small head. Aroma and taste of hops, pine, yeast and malt. On the sweet side, medium body. Quite nice.

JorisPPattyn (10137) - BELGIUM - AUG 28, 2012
Small, if dense cream head, receding over deep ruby-brown beer. Fruity hops with lychee, passion fruit, citrus and rosewater. Dry hops, and somehow makeup-powder smell. Bitter, very dry flavour. Hopoils galore; faint fruitiness (grapefruit- and orangepeel), walnutpeel. Some other ’grain’; too - quinoa, or something similar. Feels surprisingly carbonated, certain oiliness, very dry. Well-bodied. A tad monotone, and too strong to be an easy-drinking beer. Still far from bad.

500mL thanks to argo0. Pours a clear deep mahogany. Weak head. Nose is puppy breath, red candies, mushroom. Taste is spicy, bitter, starchy. Palate is bitter and dusty, sharply bitter. Drying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Valkendorf, Bergen. Pours amber with a huge frothy white head. Aroma of bready malts, light roasted. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, smooth and medium bodied, well integrated hops, dry hoppy finish, a good one.
