Bottle to tulip
Sourness, light malt, earthiness. Pours a dark brown with a long lasting creamy light tan head. Some fruitiness up front, then nuttiness, a touch of bitter chocolate. northropfrye (3628) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 12, 2014
Brown body, brown foamy and abundant head. Malty, brown sugar and lactose on the nose. Taste is sweet, dried fruit with a touch of piney hops, a touch of maple syrup. Tingly palate. Nice brown ale. waiake (606) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 23, 2014
500ml bottle, very malty aroma with hints of caramel, coffee, chocolate etc, the taste is similar with a tangy bitter dry slightly hoppy finish, refreshing quality ale TheJester (2542) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2014
500 mL bottle. A rather unimpressive brown ale. Needs more nuttiness, and there is a metallic note at the end. slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 6, 2014
"Murky brown with generous head. Body typical of the style, maybe a touch fizzy but smooth. Aroma and flavor win you over...ample roast, but intermingled with a plethora of tropical fruity hops. Well structured. More enjoyable than most American browns, but also priced like a six pack for 16.9 oz."

New Zealand brown ale with very rocky, yellowish beige, frothy head and dark copper brownish red colour. Aroma of hazelnuts, caramel, coffee powder, milk chocolate, dried plums, orange, peppery hops, nutmeg, grapefruit, sage, pear, overripe berries. Refreshing onset, citrussy with restrained fruitiness, strong nutty and caramelly maltiness and a hint of roasted bitter in the end, dry with sharp carbo, spicy notes, peppery and leafy hoppiness in the tail, medium long. More roasted and more bitter than your average English brown ale. Bootlegger007 (167) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 19, 2014
Appealing dark brown colouring, flavours of toffee and caramel finishing bitter across the palate, this Brown Ale could easily become a regular. generallee08 (772) - New York, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500 ml bottle into a dimpled mug. The label lists the abv at 5.7% and has a nice description of the beer.
Appearance: The body is dark brown, nearly black in color and when held up to light it appears to have good clarity. The head is tall thick and long lasting. This makes for some good lacing.
Smell: It’s aroma is loaded with caramel and bready maltiness.
Taste / Palate: The tongue is hit with a light heavyweight punch of caramel, toffee and sweet bready notes. It has a touch of nutty character as well. Hop bitterness is very light and really only picked up late in the finish. The feel is smooth and slightly sticky on the lips. RafeAU (629) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 2, 2014
Tasting at Plonk. A solid brown ale - big hoppy flavours come through. Nice. POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2014
Fine but a little thin brown ale. Dark brown color with a nice little foam.
