COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tall Poppy - India Red Ale This is an ale that is not afraid of standing tall among other great beers. The intense, sharp and fruity hoppiness is backed by its complex, caramel-like malty structure. Big, yet refreshing. Bold but balanced. This beer has been designed to have it all, to be the greatest common denominator.

Bottle from Fish&Beer, Copenhagen - Hazy amber pour with a medium off-white head, and great lacing. Sweet fresh floral hops, some grass, pine, and herbal and woody nuances on the palate, along with some nutty, toffee, sweet caramel malts. Complex, and lovely balance of sweet and bitterness, great mouthfeel and finish. Gorgeous.

500ml bottle from the BrewDog bar in Leeds, thanks to Stefan for sharing. Decent off-white head with fine retention leaving spotty lacing behind. Clear ruby-brown coloured body. Aromas of dark fruits and semi-sweet malts. The taste character is made up by red orange, caramel malts and bittersweet citrus peels towards the ending. Medium bodied. Likable (session in Troms, 30.07.2013)

Very tasteful red ale. Maybe port brewing red ale was little bit better. First beer from 8 Wired but surely not last.

My Bottom Line:
Coniferous angles and earth-covered tree bark move into dried cranberries in this fluffy India Red Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A tower of foam dwindles into the cloudy dark red.
-Carbonation is very high and expansive. Feels like a Belgian-style Ale, without the yeast signature, of course.
-The hops are as aromatic as they are bitter.
-Orange zest confit is tasted at the edges.
-Malts also share some discreet caramel.

Bottle.

Bottle. Red copper body, tall tan head. Aroma has sweet caramelly hops. Sweet and caramelly taste with plenty of bitterness. The hoppiness is dry and not too fruity. Lacks complexity. Their Saison Sauvin was much more delicate. Nice but it seems to have lost some freshness in the transit.

Dark red color, small head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, hops and some herbs. Taste is similar, dry sweet with nice bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Too sweet doesnt taste fresh no hops. Just like drinking sugar solution. Really bad. They swapped it for something else which I was really important with.

A softer red ale that brings the best of both worlds. Favourite red ale available so far.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2013 One of the best red ales you could ever have. Exceptional beer, as only 8Wired can do. Great beer.
