Bottle 500ml from Dispensary Enoteca. Delicious; malty treat, with nice bitter notes. Aromas of caramel, nuts, toffee, cherries, with hints of chocolate. liquorice, and alcohol. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and very long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head. Mrnoluv (354) - long beach, California, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Strong raisin, dark fruit smell, kind of has that funky smell you hear so many people talk about, spicy, beautiful afterteaste, awesome CO2, this one is a keeper for me. You don’t taste the 10% ABV except for that little warm after the swallow, love this one. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 4, 2012
A - Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a finger of frothy off-white head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of dark caramel malts, raisin and other dark fruits, Belgian yeast, red grapes, candi sugar, light spiciness and some booze.
T - Starts off with a mix of dark caramel malts, raisin, dates and other dark fruits, red grapes, and some candi sugar. Through the middle, some Belgian yeast and spices come through with some more dark fruits. The finish is a mix of dark fruits, dark caramel malts, candi syrup, Belgian yeast, and some booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth and a bit syrupy with a sweet and warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. Good fruity and malty Quad with some nice added flavor from the grapes and good yeast character. pmuzz (400) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2013
A big thank you to Bernard! Very hard to find, but thankfully the Wheatsheaf had a few left! The bottles had some age on their side which meant the beer was just lovely an juicy with full body and balance. It is not your typical quad but its is delightful and an unusual take on the theme. The taste was gorgeous and the ETOH was well hidden. Really pleased to finally get to try this great beer. Uhlen (251) - Trondheim, NORWAY - MAR 8, 2013
Deep ruby pour, with a small beige head. Sweet smell of candysugar and malts. The taste is also sweet indeed, with a funky aftertaste. Alcohol very well hidden. Superb.

Great beer from NZ. Dark, dried fruits in the aroma, bitter and sweet at the same time tastewise. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - FEB 22, 2015
Bottle at a BOSS meeting. Aged for about 2 years from date of purchase. Pours a dark amber with two fingers of off white foam. Aroma is lots of figs and plums. Somewhat bitter, more than I was expecting. Flavor is dark fruits, malt, raisins, really nice overall. Bitterness is good. Very nice beer. Better than I expected. 500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Clear deep ruby red color. Medium size, yellowish head, stays. Sweet, malty, cherry, woody, raisins, port wine in aroma. Sweet, woody, berries, delicate hops, raisins in taste. Sweet port wine and tingly bitter hops in aftertaste. Complex yet very drinkable. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Fantastic brew! chinchill (5072) - South Carolina, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Yeasty-fruity with only a hint of banana. Excellent and smooth full body.
Very drinkable; with a fine and very long lasting aftertaste. Lots of dark fruit flavor, including raisins. Good bitter/sweet balance. High ABV is well hidden. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 13, 2012
In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a dark amber colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of sultanas, toffee, chocolate, raisins and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Nicely bitter. Great!
