COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like tackling the Knockmeal Downs Mountains in a blizzard, this beer is not for wimps. This robust malt-driven ale balances dark malts with some old world bitter hops. It wont weigh you down like a stout and offers a rich chocolate aroma with a burst of espresso. Perfect for a cooler evening: year round in Ireland.

Creedence (287) - Montreal, Quebec, - NOV 25, 2013
330ml bottle from a friend. Pours nearly black, with a big brown head that gradually dissipates. Aroma is lovely and rich, with lots of chocolate, cream, coffee and molasses. Medium chocolatey sweetness with a light burnt cocoa bitterness. Smooth and sweet finish, nice soft carbonation. Lovely, lovely drop of porter.

Robe brune, mousse peu persitante. Nez assez fruit sur un fond torrfi et vanill. Bouche souple, fruite, frache, digeste, moyennement longue mais quilibre. Un porter de soif.

Bottle from the caf at Bantry House in Bantry - one of Irelands cutest country houses and worth viewing by anyone with a soul. Too sweet and caramelled but otherwise a big-tasting porter for its restrained strength.

Negra opaca, con su dedito y medio de espuma ocre poco consistente. Aroma a caf y fruta del bosque. Excelente en boca, primero malteada y frutal para ir evolucinando hacia un final seco y mas amargo, caf. Super equilibrada y y bebible. Notable.

Bottle from Dunnes Department Store, Dublin. Black with next to no head. Has a light coffee roasted-malt aroma and taste in a very easy drinking texture that has a small smoothness to it.
