Tap. Pours clear chestnut, small beige head, some lacing. Hard to tell; silly plastic cups. Aroma is Belgian spices, clove, raisin, dark fruits, banana, allspice. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body. Pretty standard double territory. Thechasm442 (1006) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2016
Draft. Pour is a hazy toffee with an average beige head. Aroma is dark stone fruits, candi sugar, and raisins. Taste is raisins, plums, molasses, candi sugar, and yeast. Medium bodied and lingering. Andrew196 (2065) - Katy, Texas, USA - DEC 3, 2016
Draft at Japaniero - Was pleasantly surprised with this one. Aroma of Belgian yeast, banana, clove. Very smooth on the tongue and the flavors messages well. Sweet earth, banana, coriander, route fruits. Glad to see 8th Wonder going this route. Scopey (16784) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2016
Keg at the brewery. It pours clear deep brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, malt - driven, dried fruits, fruit cake, toffee, candy and spice. The taste is pretty bitter up-front, wood, resin, peppery spice, booze, leather, toasted nuts, fruit cake with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not a huge amount of depth and more bitterness and booze than I was expecting. Pretty all-right overall anyhow. nathanmiller (28) - New York, USA - APR 30, 2016
On tap at 8th Wonder Brewery, poured into a shaker pint. This is a pretty beer: deep copper with a thin ribbon of head. Smells strongly of candy sugar, raisin, stone fruit. Taste tends more toward banana and candy sugar.

4 oz sample glass at the 8th Wonder Brewery in Houston, Texas. The pour is a clear golden copper with a minimal off white head. The aroma is clove yeast, spice and sweet malt. The taste is the semi sweet malt up front, Belgian yeast and spice carries the middle and finishes with clove. The palate is medium to heavier bodied with soft carbonation and the yeasty sweet finish. Solid for style. onceblind (11510) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2015
Clear deep Amber with a thin white top. Earthy toffee and a light Belgian fruity undertone on the nose. Smooth nutty and earthy toffee flavor with a touch of dusty booze and a little Belgian cherry. Slightly boozy and dusty and fruity, but really smooth and tasty and balanced. Nice cherry undertones. DrunkSanta410 (992) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Tap at the brewery. Pours a dark Amber, nice off white head with food retention. Aroma is light caramel, malty, faint Belgian yeast. Taste is light honey and caramel, lingering sweetness, light Belgian yeast, faint pepper, light fruitiness. Pretty good. Medium body and carbonation. Nice. ethanTHEtrill (59) - - FEB 3, 2015
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2015 On tap at whole foods in Sugarland. Poured in a wine glass. Aroma of faint sweetness. Taste came in with mild hops, then a little belgian candy sugar then the Belgian yeast. Decent dubbel could use better yeast and tad bit more sugar; could be that it needed to warm up and also breathe. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Impressive complexity with dark fruits, caramel, yeast, spice and more. Another winner from 8th Wonder.
