Small frothy light-brown head. Fair lacing. Mostly diminishing. Flat thick dark brownish-black body. Aroma: heavy malty, roasted, caramel, strong coffee. Initial flavor: moderate sweet. Final flavor: moderate sweet light bitter; average duration.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2016 Nothing much actually. I prefer the American IPA from then. The nose has a dominant coffee. The taste starts with chocolat and end with a lasting amoked coffe. It?s light to medium bodied.

Marrom escura, opaca. Espuma bege média de curta duração, grossa. Aroma de malte tostado, levemente defumado, madeira, chocolate. Sabor de malte torrado, chocolate, madeira, defumado, melado e café. Sabor levemente adocicado que vai a amargo persistente. Acidez baixa. Corpo médio.

On tap at Archive Beer Boutique. Rating from December 2013. All round this was okay without being spectacular. Given that Lebanon is not renowned for its craft beer it is quite good.

hawthorne00 (3900) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 11, 2014
Bottle at a local restaurant (the Moor’s Head). Black with a small tan head that’s soon gone. Aroma of mocha and licorice. Rather thin, highish carbonation. Sweet with licorice, cola, cocoa. In date, but if there were lots of hops in here they left no trace.

Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 14, 2014
Tap at a dark bar. Dark pour with half a finger of head. Licorice, burnt tire, dark caramel, espresso. Lighter than expected body. Slightly creamy and silky body throughout and a bit oily finish. Interesting but not my favorite

Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, roastiness, molasses and some spices. Taste is quite sweet with some roastiness leading to a sweet and lightly sweet finish. Not bad.
