10’000 years in the making, the LPA marks the return home for beer. From the land where beer and human civilisation were born, comes a new brew that is a marriage between Western brewing tradition, Eastern complexities, and a sublime expression of the Lebanese Renaissance. It was inspired straight from the Lebanese spice markets. For decades there has been little choice in the diversity of Lebanese beers. This beer provides an alternative for the Lebanese population, with ingredients such as za’atar, sumac, mint, sage, anise, and chamomile. The use of such herbs and spices makes this distinctive craft brew truly Lebanese.

Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. The beers starts very dry, herbal hints, nice floral bitter hops. The body is grainy, fresh, the herbs are not as intense as I hoped, the main focus here is the grainy dry bitterness. Interesting.

Aroma citrico e marcante. Cor amarelada turva. Sabor seco, adistrigente e refrescante.

330ml bottle, purchased from SAS. Clear bright copper body with a low white head. Aromas of ginger, cinnamon, coriander and some sweet fruits. Flavor is a bit similar, but with a more distinct bitterness and more herbal/tea flavor punching through. Perhaps this would complement the Libanese cuisine perfectly, but on it’s own the herbs and spices just takes over everything imo.

Bottle from Fifth Element, Southbank. A grassy aroma with anise and other spices coming through. This beer has a lot going on and the pale ale style is just a blank canvas for the experience.

Bottle in Lebanese restaurant in NYC. Golden body with slight head. Nose spicy and floral. Taste malty with spices and caramel notes. Pretty good.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a semi-transparent light orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was musty. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mild hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild rye mild spice breads and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Bottle @Tabbouli, Stockholm. Wow! here is much going on! lots of spices, ta´kes me to Another country right away. Aroma: floral hops, hay, herbs, black tea?. Appearance: clear dark golf/amber, medium frothy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: intense floral hops, bitters continue, not getting too strong, some spices and herbs. Interesting and far better than expected.

Poured amber-gold in pint glass. Spicy aroma and very spicy taste. Too spicy for me, but I was forewarned by the deScription. I agree with the reviewers who suggested food with this beer. I would have enjoyed it more than I did.

Bottle. Semi dark maltiness. Heavy spiciness. Slightly sweet. Slightly smoked. Good with food.
