10’000 years in the making, the LPA marks the return home for beer. From the land where beer and human civilisation were born, comes a new brew that is a marriage between Western brewing tradition, Eastern complexities, and a sublime expression of the Lebanese Renaissance. It was inspired straight from the Lebanese spice markets. For decades there has been little choice in the diversity of Lebanese beers. This beer provides an alternative for the Lebanese population, with ingredients such as za’atar, sumac, mint, sage, anise, and chamomile. The use of such herbs and spices makes this distinctive craft brew truly Lebanese.

Looks great, golden syrup with a thick, frothy white head. Aroma is cream fudge with lime. Very promising. Timian is the first flavour that hits the palate, followed by a grapefruit bitterness. The sweetness from the aroma lingers in the background. A very interesting pale ale, good buy :) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle best before date June 27, 2018 poured into a glass. Slightly hazy light orange with small white head. Aroma is sage, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is sage, chamomile, and a little mint. Interesting, but definatley not a pale ale.

Lore (2898) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 29, 2017
Clear golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma and taste of grains, basil, oregano, chamomile, maybe slight ansie and salty notes; Just like a liquid pizza with a lot of oregano and basil and without tomato...weird experience!

Geiserich (4595) - Linz, AUSTRIA - SEP 4, 2017
Bottle: Copper to pale amber color. Aroma is intensive herbal with notes of sage, earl grey tea, rosemary, light sweetness, candy. Flavor is light malty, light sweet, quite herbal with again sage, rosemary and earl grey tea. Bit thin bodied, interesting herbal brew.

Erzengel (9497) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - AUG 22, 2017
Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. The beers starts very dry, herbal hints, nice floral bitter hops. The body is grainy, fresh, the herbs are not as intense as I hoped, the main focus here is the grainy dry bitterness. Interesting.

Aroma citrico e marcante. Cor amarelada turva. Sabor seco, adistrigente e refrescante.

Leini (2079) - SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2017
330ml bottle, purchased from SAS. Clear bright copper body with a low white head. Aromas of ginger, cinnamon, coriander and some sweet fruits. Flavor is a bit similar, but with a more distinct bitterness and more herbal/tea flavor punching through. Perhaps this would complement the Libanese cuisine perfectly, but on it’s own the herbs and spices just takes over everything imo.

ANZUShophunter (573) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 3, 2016
Bottle from Fifth Element, Southbank. A grassy aroma with anise and other spices coming through. This beer has a lot going on and the pale ale style is just a blank canvas for the experience.

altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - SEP 27, 2016
Bottle in Lebanese restaurant in NYC. Golden body with slight head. Nose spicy and floral. Taste malty with spices and caramel notes. Pretty good.
