3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours deep amber with a large head.
Smells like lebanese bread, with a massive thyme hit. There’s a little sweet malt underneath but lebanese bread is the perfect descriptor here.
Flavours follow along the same line but the herbs also add some astringency and medicinal notes. A metallic character works its way in too.
Nice idea, and the aroma is great but it doesn’t quite work. Perhaps if the base beer was maltier.
Aroma citrico e marcante. Cor amarelada turva. Sabor seco, adistrigente e refrescante. Leini (2037) - SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2017
330ml bottle, purchased from SAS. Clear bright copper body with a low white head. Aromas of ginger, cinnamon, coriander and some sweet fruits. Flavor is a bit similar, but with a more distinct bitterness and more herbal/tea flavor punching through.
Perhaps this would complement the Libanese cuisine perfectly, but on it’s own the herbs and spices just takes over everything imo. ANZUShophunter (427) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 3, 2016
Bottle from Fifth Element, Southbank. A grassy aroma with anise and other spices coming through. This beer has a lot going on and the pale ale style is just a blank canvas for the experience. altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - SEP 27, 2016
Bottle in Lebanese restaurant in NYC. Golden body with slight head. Nose spicy and floral. Taste malty with spices and caramel notes. Pretty good. thedm (6148) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 5, 2016
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a semi-transparent light orange brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was musty. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mild hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild rye mild spice breads and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Bottle @Tabbouli, Stockholm. Wow! here is much going on! lots of spices, ta´kes me to Another country right away. Aroma: floral hops, hay, herbs, black tea?. Appearance: clear dark golf/amber, medium frothy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: intense floral hops, bitters continue, not getting too strong, some spices and herbs. Interesting and far better than expected. blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 26, 2016
Poured amber-gold in pint glass. Spicy aroma and very spicy taste. Too spicy for me, but I was forewarned by the deScription. I agree with the reviewers who suggested food with this beer. I would have enjoyed it more than I did. hirigalzkar (3133) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 19, 2016
Bottle. Semi dark maltiness. Heavy spiciness. Slightly sweet. Slightly smoked. Good with food. Nische (2196) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 8, 2015
Bottle at Tabbouli. Clear golden with white head. Spicy aroma with herbs and grain overpowering. Same in taste, very herbal and spicy with some fresh citrus behind it. Very original, but a little bit too much. Paired quite well with the food though. Pyrmir (5984) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2015
330 ml bottle at Meza. Deep golden with white head. Aroma is very herby, thyme, sage and almost nothing else. Taste is similar, very unbalanced.
