COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
10’000 years in the making, the LPA marks the return home for beer. From the land where beer and human civilisation were born, comes a new brew that is a marriage between Western brewing tradition, Eastern complexities, and a sublime expression of the Lebanese Renaissance. It was inspired straight from the Lebanese spice markets. For decades there has been little choice in the diversity of Lebanese beers. This beer provides an alternative for the Lebanese population, with ingredients such as za’atar, sumac, mint, sage, anise, and chamomile. The use of such herbs and spices makes this distinctive craft brew truly Lebanese.

Grass, spice, ginger, and mint in the aroma. Flavor is mild, sweet, and flowery. Spice and mint in the finish. Different and better than I expected.

Bottle. Hazy amber. Toasted middle eastern flatbread, a bit perfumed. Mint, sesame, sage, herbal finish. Medium light, slightly flat mouthfeel. Neat, very interesting.

Golden. Aroma is herbs, tomato, olive oil, some raisins, safran, noble hops, sage. Taste is quite starchy pale malt. Also fresh sourness. some sweet juice. Quite drinkable. Nice.

Bottle. Clear deep amber color with white head. Aroma is za'atar (which I love!), anise, more herbs, caramel. Taste is za'atar, caramel, and the same mix of spices. Super-great idea, and works out well! Nice!

330mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with herbs that smell like fresh dirty pot. Flavour is along the same lines, with tons of herbs and pot. This is garbage.

355ml bottle @ Erik's. Pours a clear orange copper colour with a thin white head. Nose is potent sage with subtle other spices mixed about. Flavour is just as the nose, strong sage with a mess of other spices.

Bottle - Mint, sage and a melange of spice. Clearishgold with a decent white head. A mess of spice as the nose implies. No point.

Light amber. Looks a little bit flat. There's a lot of spice, though honestly it's a bit indistinct. Light malts. Light amber malts, spice like sage are prominent. Light hop bitterness, and it's not all that unbalanced. Ok, does finish with a zaatar character. It's ok, I mean, for what it is.

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle best before date June 27, 2018 poured into a glass. Slightly hazy light orange with small white head. Aroma is sage, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is sage, chamomile, and a little mint. Interesting, but definatley not a pale ale.

Lore (2993) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 29, 2017
Clear golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma and taste of grains, basil, oregano, chamomile, maybe slight ansie and salty notes; Just like a liquid pizza with a lot of oregano and basil and without tomato...weird experience!
