COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 961 Porter is a take on the traditional Engish beer that originates from the pubs of London. The Porter is brewed in the classical manner, using dark roasted malts with a rich addition of Crystal malts, and is hopped with English varieties. This beer, with 5.6% ABV, has complex aromatic notes of caramel, coffee, raisins, chocolate, nut and toast.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops, yeast.

bottle from TWM Sterling - I didn’t know what to expect with this one, but found myself pleasantly surprised. It had a bit of the malty soy sauce thing going, but I quite liked it.

Bottled, thanks Bierkrug! Near black, small head. Rich coffee aroma. dryish with medium body and soft mouthfeel.Nicely roasty with lots of coffee and figs. Mid bitter finish. Tasty anmd well made.

11.2oz bottle in an English pint. Pours dark brown with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, light chocolate and smoky notes, plus a hint of bitter malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent porter.

Pours rather clear , very dark brown . Smell is sweet, bit dark malts . Taste is bitter , coffee, rather weak . Some earthy notes .

Bottle from Sam’s Beverage in Hamra. Pours a dark brown color with no head. Roasted malt aroma. Medium body, even dry/sweet dark malts flavor balance. Dry finish. Starts a bit harsh but mellows quickly. Ok.

4oz pour from bottle at Churchkey. Poured a dark color. Aroma was some roasted and toasted malts. Flavor was pretty rich, enjoyable roasted malts. Enjoyed this one.
