COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
961 Red Ale is our version of the classic English Amber or Red Ale. This beer has a 5.5% ABV, is densely malty and reddish in colour. Smooth, round and full bodied it has an intensely fruity and aromatic flavour. The use of Amarillo hops adds a spicy note to the beer and gives it a slighty sweet and creamy finish.

Bottle. I was expecting more from this. Seemed pretty lifeless in the glass, and it’s very empty bodied with only a mild malt flavour

Bottle at Sue Ellen. Pours redish amber. Sweet maltyness with a hint of hops. Too clean and simple.

This is sort of a malty American Pale Ale style. It smells pretty good with a decent amount of American hop character but it is just a little oversweet and bland when you taste it. Despite a bit of a metallic character in the finish, it is pretty drinkable so it’s not a total loss.

DroolYeast (1488) - Odder, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2014
Fruity and sweet aroma. Amber colour, pours with small white head, virtually no head lasting. Taste is moderate bitter, fresh hops and fruits. Nice palate of hops. Overall a nice and surprisingly good beer.

Smooth and malty with flavour of orange, biscuit and caramel. Not too sweet. A very drinkable red. I’ve had better and I’ve had many that are worse. Good job.

Pours a cloudy orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, nuts, fruit, hops and some spices. Taste is medium sweet leading to a lightly hoppy and spicy finish. Not bad.
