COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
961 Red Ale is our version of the classic English Amber or Red Ale. This beer has a 5.5% ABV, is densely malty and reddish in colour. Smooth, round and full bodied it has an intensely fruity and aromatic flavour. The use of Amarillo hops adds a spicy note to the beer and gives it a slighty sweet and creamy finish.

330ml brown bottle. Orange/red colour with deep gold highlights. Head stands up well, creamy, thickish tan foam. Aroma is nutty, a bit earthy, some caramel and a trace of hops. Flavour is earthy and nutty, citrus hop note. Finishes decently bitter, grapefruit aftertaste and some more earth accented malt. Medium bodied, crisp carbonation profile.

Peu d’arôme, n’aimant pas beaucoup les Red Ale j’ai eu du mal à la boire, elle est certainement bonne dans son style, mais c’est sans moi.

03-06-2017; bottle; at home (bought at Saveur Bière, as part of their May discovery box). The looks of the beer are very nice. It is exactly as the name does expect. The colour of the beer is a beautiful reddish amber. The beer is crystal clear and forms a nice rough layer of white foam. The foam collapses rather quickly, leaving a vary thin drape. Very nice, and lovely that the looks are 100% what you expect. The smell of the beer is nice. The smell is quite full. There is a clear, but plain malt aroma at first. This gives the beer a nice and firm base. On top there is a lovely spicy and bitter hop note, with a tiny amount of nuttiness to it. I like this hop aroma. It is a nice kick to the firm malt base. The two combine lovely. The taste of the beer is the same as the taste. There is a lovely malty base, toped by some amazing hops. There are some bitter spicy touches, rich and refreshing fruits, which tend to give some acidic touches to the flavour. The hop bouquet is nice, and divers, even though it is only Amarillo. I like the use of hops. There is again that tiny nutty touch. Flavour is well balanced. The palate of the beer is good, but not very special. Medium body, but rather full for this type, smooth and high carbonation. The finish is nice, full and contains some nice spicy hops and nice malts. Especially the hops are clear here. All in all, a very nice beer. First beer from Lebanon ever. I hope to drink one there someday. I’m not disappointed.

Amber colour, small off-white head. aroma is spruce, freshly cut wood and some mild metallic edge to it. Flavour is rather metallic along with grass and some sweet malts.

Découverte dans la Saveur Box. Bière ambrée limpide avec mousse qui disparaît rapidement. Nez quasi inexistant. Léger goût de caramel. Très aqueuse. Rien d’extraordinaire.

Ok beer but lack of hopiness and the yeast choice is strange and clashing a bit with the malt backbone

This brewery has been one my wanted list for a while, excited to find it available at the Columbia World Beer Festival 2017! From a fresh imported bottle, this pours a red-amber color with an aroma of refreshingly light grassy hops and caramel malt. Flavor has a truly unique and interesting combination of grassy hops and caramel malt, distinctive for a red ale, which in my experience has more earthy than grassy hop flavors. A bit of fruitiness also in keeping with a more traditional english rendition of the style. Light-bodied with a clean finish, I imagine this would complement well a hot Levantine summer day. Quite enjoyable overall and a testament to the universal appreciation of quality beer worldwide!

Bottle @ Tabbouli, Stockholm. Pours clear amber color with a non-lacing head. The aroma is not strong but packs in some complexity; malt, apple-butter, spice, cloves. The mouthfeel is crisp and thin, and all the flavor is on the back-end. A little cereal malt, some citrus, and grassy hops. Not bad.

Pours a ruddy amber with an almost pink frothy head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Well carbonated and you can definitely taste those amarillo hops. Bubbly, refreshing hop-dominant beer, fairly well balanced but the hops might get a bit much after the second or third.

Vermelha, límpida. Espuma abundante de curta duração. Aroma adocicado de caramelo e ameixas, que se estende ao sabor, com notas gramíneas. Retrogosto amargo com final levemente metálico e salgado.
