330ml brown twist-off bottle with production date stamp 2 days prior. Pours a dense straw color with a white frothy head. Slight coriander hint in aroma. Light body with soft mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Mellow light wheaty flavor, clean, slight grainy note. Pleasant combination of flavors at room temperature. A mellow Wit that "grows on you" over time.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, coriander, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light body; with a watery and lightly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a decent witbier. All around solid robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pale malt, spices, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.

It pours golden with some orange and with a white head. The head vanished abruptly. It has aromas of grass, musk, hints of orange, hints of spice, and a sweetness. It has a musky flavor to it it has some sweetness, grass, hints of orange, and spices. The flavor also tastes a bit watered down.. This is light bodied and has a sweet finish. The carbonation is moderate.

Dourada levemente turva, sem espuma. Aroma muito discreto citrico, coentro e cravo só com muito esforço. Paladar de dulçor com baixa intensidade. Corpo leve, ainda menos carbonatação. Decepcionante.

Had it mainly because it is a Lebanese beer, but there is nothing special to it. Normal taste and appearance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours lightly hazy golden color with a small, thin head that was gone quickly. Aroma of lemon with some grass mixed in. Maybe some corn too. Light body, a bit flat. Lightly dry finish. Flavor of lemon with a touch of earthy yeast at the back. A grassy note and a touch of honey sweetness too. This is close to being quite good, but there are some issues to address.

330ml bottle bought at High Wine China’s promotional booth at Spot in Sheung Shui. (Thanks Tomy!)

Cloudy, hazy golden yellow with some yeast sediments; Half finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Very good sticky lacing and zero carbonation; Fragrant aroma of malt, with strong wheat, vanilla and pineapple, (reminiscent of German Weissbier), sugar, strong corinder, orange peel, very light phenolic, light spices, lemon, and faint grass; Very light sweet taste of light malt, with strong wheat, thin tartness, coriander, light citrus peels, strong earth, spice, strong yeast, lemon and very light grass; Light body. Quite slick and crisp palate; Mouth feel is fair malt with strong wheaty presence - smell good, taste okay and not tart at all. Good coriander, very light orange peels and fair spicyness. The yeast – while the aroma is so nice Weissbier-wise, the taste is muddy and close to annoying, almost ruining the beer, almost. Hmmm…. Hoppiness is light lemon and faint grass in nose and taste, Low-fi bitterness for a wheaty finish; Quite dry aftertaste. Very easy but slightly muddy to mouth.

Comments: The Weissbier yeast make and break this Witbier – on one hand the vanilla and tropical fruit aroma is a joy to the nose, but on the other hand it lands some rather unpleasant muddy taste and nearly ruin the clean wheaty taste. Until the brewer sorts it out, until then this is a valiant but failed experiment.
