An orange amber saison with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet mineral malt with light wet dog hair, chalky character, light cherry notes, so-so. In mouth, a light sweet cherry malt with light mineral notes, faint hops, faded and sad. Bottle 493/1500. Whatup14 (2009) - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 28, 2013

Goût de raisin, acidité légère en fin de bouche, amertume légère en arrière-goût, boisé, légère astringence, malt. Carbonation faible, corps moyen, huileuse, sèche. Bottle - 341ml. Beautiful cloudy amber body with low carbonation and an average, lasting white foamy head. Robust hoppy aroma with flowery and citrusy hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries citrusy and some subtle grainy notes. It seems to be slightly misbalanced. However, it is not bad. Ends with a sharp sour finish. Good effort. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 15, 2012
341 ml bottle via Lubiere (merci!), served almost cold in a tulip glass. Bottle 167/1500. Minderbinder (3469) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2012
App.: Murky reddish-amber with a fair light tan head.
Aroma: Quite tangy, some vanilla/wood notes, lightly fruity, bitter herbals, grape bubblegum, wild, brown sugar/caramel notes, different.
Palate: Medium body, lively effervescence.
Flav.: Grape bubblegum and strawberries, wild/barnyard funk, bitter green herbs, faint caramel/brown sugar support, green/peppery/grassy hops, quite a bit going on here; dry with tang and pretty good bitterness, the finish is tangy minerals, lightly fruity (strawberries) and green, biter herbals.
Didn’t look at the label very closely and expected an IPA or a DIPA. Not at all! Interesting stuff.
Pours clear golden with low white head. Some lacing. Some particules in the beer. Aroma is of citrus, malt, fruits, wine. Taste is of citrus, malt, fruits, wine. Overall: Dry finish. Nice wine presence. Good balance, thin body. Expensive.

Thanks to Patrick in Montreal for an IP trade on this one.
Bottle No.609/1500 drank in Mar ’12.
Pours a hazy golden/amber colour with a small white head.
A lambic/sour aroma on the nose with some hops, earthy notes and wood.
You can pick out the wheat in the taste along with some dried fruit sweetness, a little bitterness and hops, a blade of grass and a little wood. In respect to the barrel aging on this saison, when compared to other saisons, I think this could be what has given this beer the dried fruit/sweet aspect that it contains.
Medium bodied and well balanced, medium to low level of carbonation, just right for this stlye and gives for a slightly bitter-citrus finish.
Overall a decent saison with a little more body and fruitiness than most!

In short: A sharp oaky/tannic and slightly acidic fruity Belgian amber ale of some kind. Goodcfrancis (3453) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 31, 2012
How: Bottle 341ml, #374/1500. Consumed 3 months after the beer release
The look: Almost clear amber body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Nose is tannic, moderately acidic, slightly woody, notes of teashop, some citrusy hops. Taste of acidic oranges, oak tannins, lemon zest, apple skin, some of the can’t-pronounce exotic teas I buy at work, lollipops, more… This is a beer that is a bit here and there but doesn’t feel too chaotic, it certainly isn’t boring. Classified as a Saison… why not? No style is perfectly right for a beer like this. An original and pretty decent beer even if overpriced, which gives me a great business idea: 1) Buy a local beer store. 2) Move said beer store to available location in front of my house. 3) Sell beer to myself. 4) Watch money pour in.
Pours with a dark reddish hue and a creamy reddish white top. Aroma is funky, fruity and a little oak. Taste starts with a lambic cherry, then the funk and the acidic pucker comes in. It ends with a small dry oak finish. Interesting beer. pushkinwow (2793) - Ottawa, CANADA - MAY 11, 2012
341ml bottle, #1307 - big thanks to doubled77 for the bottle as an extra. Amber with a ruby hue, off white one finger head that fades to a thin layer. Definite odd combination of aromas: wheat, dough, yeast, light tannins and some oak, some funk, and a touch of citrus. Moderate carbonation but with a very fizzy mouthfeel, light body, some citrus and bitterness, lots of chardonnay, becomes a little sweet and slightly dry. A definite interesting beer. VT (2527) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 5, 2012
341 ml bottle. Pours an orange amber, filled with loads of sediments. Smells like wood and spices. Tastes like wine or light port wine, fruity, somewhat spicy. Very woody. Slight bitter finish. Humidity seems to linger on. Medium-bodied. Quite good, very well balanced.
