Poured a gusher, all over my counter. Big foamy head that took forever to calm down. Nose is very light pine. Aromas are pine, biscuit, some English breakfast tea. Mout is medium body with lively carbonation. This is an old bottle, so maybe I’m not getting best this beer could taste. Would like to try more fresh version.

Bottle - 341ml. Cloudy golden body with a huge white foamy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with piney hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries piney and citrusy notes. Ends with a short, dry, and rather robust bitter/herbal finish. Not bad.

341 ml bottle. Pours a foggygolden with a thick white head. Smell is citrus, very grapefruity and lemony. Taste is malty, much cereal, some yeast. Very citrusy finish, with grapefruit and lemon very obvious. Some earthy notes. Light to medium bodied. Good APA.

341 ml bottle. Pours a foggy straw with a white head. Not all that tasty, a bit of herbal bitterness in the finish. Resinous mouthfeel. Nothing extraordinary.

Very disappointed in this. The first and second IPAs in this series were excellent while the third was not exceptional but still decent. Number 4 is an APA but a pretty mediocre one, not in keeping with the quality of the series nor the very high price they are charging for these beers. The beer has a very weak and watery body that does not offset the hops at all. Thus, despite only having an IBU of 29 the beer is quite bitter, much more bitter than the 40 IBU APA I reviewed yesterday. However, this is not the pleasant bitterness of a well hopped beer but rather a rough bitterness of a beer without enough flavour to match the hops. According to the bottle this is a recreation of the St-Rodéo, the first beer they ever brewed. While there is nothing wrong with reproducing your first beer I think there is something wrong with not reproducing it under its original name but producing it under the name of a series of very high priced beers of an excellent quality that this beer does not even approach.

Bouteille 341ml.

Hazy blonde with a small white head, good retention. Typical grainy à la Fût aromas with hints of citrusy hops. Medium body, medium bitterness, nice dry finish with a nice citrus note. Enjoyable and highly drinkable on a sunny afternoon.

Pours a reddish amber with a thick and lasting foamy white head. Nice fresh hops aroma with hints of grapefruit, altough the intensity is a little thin. Easy drinking with a medium-light body, with a good presence of caramel malts, simple but nice bitterness, and very quaffable. I loved the carbonation on that one. A nice session pale ale.

Pours hazy straw golden yellwo with a thin white head and moderate lacing. Aroma is small citrus hop and a slight cereal to the malt. Taste is high in bitterness, low on flavouring. Citrus hops but it’s a bit out of balance towards the bitterness.
