Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 9, 2006
Red amber ale with a thick off-white head. Light sweet caramel malts in aroma. Rather bland caramel malt in mouth, with notes of nuts, no hops. Overall, boring. Mondial 2005.

The Lure:
Spicy caramel fruitiness makes a delicately complex aroma. Bready grain is submerged within.

The Festivities:
Fresh toasted barley and salty, spicy hints benefit from a light fruity sweetness. Another well-made, though so easily quaffable brew from these lager lovers.

The simple enjoyment of wind blowing in your face.

on tap at bateau de nuit, qc. clear light coppery-red pour, decent white head and retention. nutty, spicy, cardboard, hint of acidity. decent maltiness although i’m not getting the AL’ADLT distinctive malt character. average carbonation, light body - slightly oily, relatively short but present grassy-citrusy finish. decent amber.

muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 1, 2005
Sample at the Mondial, from bottle (I think). Some fine lace on the sides of the hazy copper-gold liquid-filled glass...caramel and wet tree branches in the herbal, subtle nose...smooth, slightly thin body full of dry herbs, fairly sweet at the front and dry and lightly bitter to finish.

tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2005
Clean, grainy, cereal malt nose is lightly bready. Clear copper with a low, off-white head that lasts and laces. Mild grainy and bready malts with some light herbal and spicy hops and gentle finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with lively effervescence. A difficult to nail style done very competently - perhaps a touch more munich/vienna malt would bring this to the next level. Sampled at the Mondial de la Bière 2005.

beerbuzzmontreal (3486) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2005
Sampled at le Mondial de la bière 2005. Pours a clear dark orange / copper color with a medium white head. Ordinary aroma and flavor of malt, caramel and fruits with a very mild bitter finish. Light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

rederic (3344) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2005
Amber-orangeish color hue, thick foamy head with good lacing, caramelized malt, sweet note of brown sugar and caramel aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with caramelized malt, brown sugar, and lightly creamy character in a soft betterness finish.
