COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditsiooniliselt kääritatud A. Le Coq’i Tume Kali on valmistatud odra- ja rukkilinnastest ning humalast. Teistest kaljadest erilisem maitse ja tumedam värv on saavutatud linnaste oskusliku röstimise tulemusel, mis pakub nautijale võimaluse avastada uusi tummisemaid maitsenüansse. Tume kali pole ülemäära magus, vahutab kenasti klaasis ja kustutab suurepäraselt janu.

Kauge (1956) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 19, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2017 Surprisingly alright, albeit a bit too sweet. The almost burnt caramel and roasted black bread is especially nice. Pretty refreshing nonetheless. Too bad it’s only available in 1l PET bottles, tends to go flat pretty fast.

100cl PET-bottle from Maxima, Tallinn. Pours dark brown with a fast dissipating, beige head. Bready and somewhat roasty aroma with notes of dried fruits and caramel. Sweet, bready and malty with not much bitterness or acidity to speak of. Good as energy drink, but a bit too much on the sweet side for my tasty.

phfyysik (1271) - Tartu, ESTONIA - MAR 6, 2016
1L plastic bottle. Pours black with beige medium head. Aroma is sweet, some toasted black bread, rye, raisin, syrup. Taste follows the nose. It is quite sweet, some sugar sticks on the lips, but roasted taste won’t allow to be too sweet. Quite nice one!

tarmok (1432) - Tartu, ESTONIA - MAY 1, 2015
Aroma: caramel, bread, roasty. Appearance: dark brown almost black liquid with tan head. Taste: heavy cloying sweetness, medium sourness, bread. Palate: medium body, creamy, average carbonation, long finish,

Senka (1082) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 17, 2015
A decent kali made by Volfas. Brown, and medium bodied. Good fulfilling nonalco drink. Good with any store pre-cooked meals.

Sugram (95) - Tartu, ESTONIA - JAN 4, 2015
1l nice dark brown, tan not long lasting head. Sugarly aroma with rye bread. Strong caramel and rye bread in taste but bit sour taste cools down high sugar taste. Too fizzy.

Hosi (12) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 18, 2014
Very sweet and bready aroma and taste, something like finnish mämmi and cola mixed together. Palate is flat, and combined with sweetness, it’s not really my cup of tea.

Kalarel (34) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 1, 2013
1L plastic bottle from Läänemere Selver. Very strong bready and sugary aroma. Pours a very dark brown with a thin light-brown head that dissapears quite fast. Quite thik texture. Sweetness and malt with hints of bread in the taste. Too sweet to quench thirst, but otherwise not bad.

2.4
TBone (17528) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 12, 2012
Bottled 500ml (Selver, Tallinn)
Thanks Kairo! Deep brown color, vanishing head. Strong aroma of cyrupy black bread (Malax limpa), rye. Medium-bodied. Slightly sweetish, molasses, rye bread/black bread dominates. Feels more kvass than the most of commercial ones from the big breweries.

2.5
Marduk (7694) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAY 3, 2012
1L plastic bottle. Dark brown color. Beige fizzy, bubbly head, disappears quickly. Roasted bread, sugar in aroma. Sweet caramel taste. Too sweet.
